    Air fills near Jackson, WY?

How many dives are you planning? Renting or borrowing a couple extra tanks for your weekend might save you a bunch of pointless driving There are a couple shops in the Idaho Falls area 2 hrs west. The next closest would be Rock Springs, about 3 hrs south. After that you're wayyyyy TF up in...

DGX PRD (burst disk) compatible with Scubapro valve?

The SP and DGX assemblies are the same threading and work interchangeably in my lone SP valve. I don't know when that SP was made though and it's in theory possible your threads are different than mine. The SP disk is going off the metric bar pressure rating which is 182 bar * 5/3rds = 305 bar...

Way to read the room @Nemrod

    DIY EAN Membrane build

That is exactly what @Tracy 's system is doing. The pump itself is just super slow (100 liter per hour) so you are looking at ~12 hours to fill a 40 with o2 from empty. More concentrators can't change that rate since they just feed the compressor.

Short research - Factors influencing divers' performance and experiences

Completed it with the understanding this is for a BA level degree not an especially sophisticated peer reviewed publication. There are some oddly duplicative questions near the end and could use some editing to avoid things like double negatives. Also the gender question was (surprisingly)...

    Thunderbird aln80 (neutral buoyancy)?

As long as it's salt. For freshwater lp85s pretty bomb with thick wetsuits. And Al80s are great in fresh too

Light Monkey Dual Outlet Heater Valve seams to have died

It's the cable moreso than the connector. The EO is a standard and unfortunately the only place to get the thin cable version is LM. You can find the thick cable version (which won't work in the heater port) on alibaba for cheap. 100 dives is their rough lifespan.

    Drysuit undergarment for great lakes?

No drysuit is going to be adequate for 90min dives in those temps. You'll need external heat for longer dives. But you also won't be on the bottom in 40F temps all that time either. So for the typical summer boat dive season you can do ok in a Halo, BZ400 or weezle extreme (no plus) without any...

    Drysuit undergarment for great lakes?

Which lake? Cause Lake Erie is a heck of a lot warmer than Lake Superior lol. Weezle Extreme+ and external heat is the minimum for Lake Superior which is only warm at all fairly shallow.

    Thunderbird aln80 (neutral buoyancy)?

They are basically just heavier Al80s for 1) the same amount of gas and 2) you can move that weight around as its fixed on the tank bottom. Use a weight pouch on the cam bands to accomplish the same thing and also give you options to move it around to optimize trim

Half-packing sorb -- Possible, or deadly?

The sidewinder2 DOES NOT EXIST outside of trade shows and beta versions.

Question Is the KISS Sidewinder the best to learn on on & keep for a lifetime?

Was looking closely at the towers and bayonet connectors today. It sure appears to be PVC and its definitely injection moulded (the injection points are clearly visible) not machined.

    Undersuit Halo 3D, Santi BZ400 or Waterproof 2 X Body 665 GR

It smushes down small, imagine a sleeping bag you wear. Its the same weight as any other undergarment. But expect to add 1-1.5kgs because its crazy lofty

    Question Mysterious 1987 Catlina 3AL S80

Its normal and a relic of the starting slug of aluminum in the extrusion press. Maybe 2-5% of tanks have extrusion artifacts like this

Question Is the KISS Sidewinder the best to learn on on & keep for a lifetime?

And you know this how? Because the canisters and towers in the sidewinder are definitely not acetal. The heads might be.

    Undersuit Halo 3D, Santi BZ400 or Waterproof 2 X Body 665 GR

Another vote on the Weezle Extreme+ They also last vastly longer than any other undersuit (decade+) and you can pretty much wash them as often as you want without damage

    DIN vs YOKE (USA)?

You'd have zero issues renting or borrowing a DIN tank in the PNW. I would guess that DIN out numbers yoke tanks 2:1

Question Different tanks for SM and CC bailout?

I can go straight up from pretty much any wreck I dive (down to about ~75m). At most I am a 2-4 minutes from the upline on a scooter. Hence 1 al80 of deep gas gets me to my next gas which might be 21/35 or 50% depending on the dive. 1 Al80 doesnt get me anywhere close to my next gas in a deep...

Question Different tanks for SM and CC bailout?

Same sorta. Hp130s and lp85s for me would be most common. And lp45s/50s for sure. No "deep" al80s outside of MX which isnt very deep apart from a very few systems

Question Different tanks for SM and CC bailout?

If I have 2x bottles of the same gas for a cave dive I would L/R those bottles. The "next" shallower gas is under-slung on the left. Remaining deco gases get nose clipped (and usually dropped fairly fast) on the butt rails. In this example case, if I am in a BO ascent I will start on the 15/55...
