Also, I do recall when vdh first started selling their wings I enquired about bladder size and if i remember correctly Bryan said each wing had a different bladder. Perhaps he can confirm this or someone can get a direct response from him.

Interesting find. Must be really new, as I had looked on their store in Feb. and it was not showing. Size looks nice 23" x 13", 30lb lift. Will check it out once im back in FL.

Smb deployment in a pool is the best practice you can do. No current, and shallow enough to really not worry about getting tangled. Once you practice in the pool, it becomes second nature. I've tried many spools and for me the wider (Apeks style) are the easiest to grip and deploy. Ebay sell...

Good to know. I always thought DGX webbing was closest to Halcyon, although after using both side by side I can say definitively that the Halcyon is softer than DGX. Im starting to prefer the DGX for its slightly stiffer feel. If my H wears out, this is another alternative at half price...

I saw this in person. The stiffness is nice, kinda in the middle but supple. Its easy to flip around and you only see a bit of lettering on the waist.

The Onyx 2 costs $600 cad from dans dive shop. Add in an octo, hoses and spg and you shouldnt be more than $1000 cad. For overseas service, apex is your best bet.

My suunto clipper compass has been working better than I thought and clips to my dive watch strap. Does everything I need it to and cheap to replace.

I use a lycra short from DiversDirect in Florida. $18 and slips over your bathing suit. Wetsuit glides right over it.
