    New Divesoft Solo HE/O2 Analyzer

I have had two bcd-flowlimiters, and they both clogged up fairly quickly due to the very small openings. I could not get them open again. So I went with this: Professional flow limiter | Divesoft, s.r.o. and also this Flowmeter | Divesoft, s.r.o. for correct tuning of flow. This works well.

Disabled deco gas on backup computer.

This is wrong, TTS(Time to surface) is calculated just on the gasses that are turned on. Also on Shearwaters you don't have to turn a gas on to select it, you can directly choose a gas that is turned off. The TTS will change accordingly as you now have turned on another gas.

Help with simple deco algorithm project

At least in Multideco you have the possibility to change the descent-speed, this will affect the NDL/Deco quite noticeably. I dont' remember what the standard-setting is(maybe 12m/min) , but for my diving I use 6m/min. So for comparison between different software's one should also align these...

    Deco reg on a pony?

If it is this reg Dive Rite O2 Deco Regulator Package it's not good for a pony. It's not intended for use deeper than 50 feet. You would not use O2 that deep anyway, so it works for O2-deco. "Because of the piston first stage, the Dive Rite Deco Regulator is ultra reliable but the unbalanced...

Are Finns bad divers? Thread split

This last accident should not be seen in the same context as the accidents in Norway and France. These dives were at the extreme end of the scale, but the last accident was a fairly standard dive with a really bad outcome. If the buddies/crew/investigators will publish some more details, that...

Finnish diver missing in Swedish mine

I was in another part of the mine while it happened. A team of three finnish divers had been to the 34m level when the female diver encountered some problems at 20m and subsequently panicked. Her teammates tried to help her, but after some time had to save themselves. The incident happened at...

    Santi heated gloves 2.0 ?

I guess the difference is the upgraded power-connector. I started out with the old gloves, and the connector\wires broke several times before the gloves eventually was replaced under warranty to the new type. I have not had any problems with the new type.

Apex Oxygen Clean Regulator Service - DIY

User powder-free vinyl/latex gloves Take a normal service kit, wash the o-rings in dish-soap and rince with clean water. Use a oxygen-compatible lubricant like Christolube/Tribolube. A lot of people only do the 1st stage O2-clean, and just use O2-compatibel lubricant on the 2nd stage...

What computers are you using for tech dives?

When I used my Helo2 for deco-diving, I used p-2 in order to be the least conservative. The people I know that also dove the Helo2 did the same, as it would give a lot of deco if left in P0 as shown above. When it was in -2 it was fairly similar to my Petrel(which I bought later and used the...

Recommended dive shops on Koh Lanta?

I have used Kon Tiki diving, and was satisfied with them. I think they have weekly schedules, wich inludes Hin Daen / Hin Muang. Their schedule didn't fit mine when it came to Hin Daeng/Muang, but they provided a DM(Personal guide) and we joined another shop on their boat(Much smaller than...

    Drysuit undergarment advice

I have never dived up north, but the temp-range you mentioned sounds about right. A 400g undersuit with a wool baselayer will cover most folks for dives up to an hour, if diving with a trilam drysuit. If the drysuits you can borrow are neoprene-suits, a single or double layer of wool baselayer...
