    Question Flooded ammonite 24ah canister

So I managed to dive without the charging-cover in place, and flooded the canister. I have opened the canister, and the battery-pack is dead as expected, but I hope that the electronics-part will be salvageable. I have removed the four screws on the outside and inside, but I can't separate the...

Bailout Rebreather Mode on Petrel 3

I don't know the reasoning behind the not on controllers. I know many people would appreciate that for their BO-ccr's.

Bailout Rebreather Mode on Petrel 3

It is only availible on the analog "monitors". I checked with SW when this firmware was released, because I could not find it on my Petrel2 connected to my Meg15. They answered that they would not release this on controllers, and when I pointed out that it is not a controller on Meg's they...

    T-Reb CCR Review

Shearwater already does this on the Fischer devices, No problem to do the same on the controllers. As others Said, Divesoft is doing this.

    T-Reb CCR Review

If Shearwater would create a BO-mode for the controller, this would be a good BO-ccr for my use..

    Drysuit heating controller options

These are "inbetween" SCALEO heat Heizungssteuerung | SCALEO But to keep a constant 12,6v you have to use a batterypack with 4s(14,4v) and a controller that keeps a constant output at desired voltage.

    Question Oxygen fill whip

As Halcyon tank-valves are quite common in our area, be aware that these have a very short travel from closed to full tilt boogie. Hence I also don't like these for O2 on my ccr.

    Dual heat control batteries

I use heated-gloves separately from the heated BZ400, with this stacking Apeks Sitech Double Connector Adapter - SmartTex My hands has get really cold, so I needed to run the heat separately. I chose to not have seals in my ringsystem(Nordic Blue). A little dive-depending, I usually connect the...

    Primary light for cave

I like my Gralmarine, it's a 3xml2. Several choices for battery. I rarely use more than the mid-level in caves/mines, so even the 10ah battery lasts a long time. At least they are availible in Spain: GRALmarine

    Rebuilding OmniSwivel inline shutoff valve

My experience is they rarely need rebuilding, but separating the "sleeve" from the "barrel" and just lubricate the barrel is usually enough. And it makes the sliding smooth again..

Skipping open circuit and going straight to CCR

The members of our dive-club that uses BoB's also have a deep OC-bailout(mostly with Bov) as a "transitional" BO before going to the BoB. This BO also serves as diluent for the BoB. There are minor differences in how they are using the BoB between the divers.

    Halcyon HDV T-16

Just to get to the same weight as the original battery, I still had to use the Saltwater-weight for ocean-diving. It seems like you got a really good deal on your package..

    Halcyon HDV T-16

I bought a aftermarket battery for the xj14/37, and I had to add approx 2kg.

    Halcyon HDV T-16

The tube, nosecone and battery is different, else it is the same as the old Xjoy14 with the N-Handle option. Xjoy 14 has a plastic tube, and is depth-rated to 120m, T16 has a metal tube and is dept-rated to 180m.

    Stick-on readers for masks.

The old ones got too weak, so I added a stronger one of the DGX-masks to another order, and it solved the problem. At least for a while, I believe I "visited" 2,0 or 2,5 on my way to 3,0. 3,0 has been stable for a while now, hope I don't need stronger for a while as that seems less...

    Stick-on readers for masks.

On an afterthought, it may also be that my dive-computer is closer to my eyes than when I read a book/phone etc, and that's why a stronger lens is needed..
