You should review what's required for (EU) CE marking; it is a self-certification. No independent testing or review is required for most directives. (I always did when I worried about this stuff, but that's risk management, not requirement.)

Info Hotdive Drysuit--Dive Anywhere. Stay Dry.

Hmm -- let me try: You're participating here to promote your goods, by increasing awareness and establishing credibility. Posting a picture that includes particularly unusual features -- and on first examination, silly or senseless features for the market you're talking to -- does not increase...

    3mm wetsuit vs Sharkskin T2

It’s posts like these that confuse me about Sharkskin (Lavacore, etc.). If they’re really this good, why haven’t they completely replaced 3mm wetsuits? This; exactly this, right down to also having a Bare Reactive 3mm I like. @WillieJustice any actual numbers on temps? Any update from your...

    Triglides

Where did you find a shop without a prohibitive minimum shop charge? IME most machine and metal shops tend to the Linda Evangelista business model. ("We don't wake up for less than $10,000 a day.")

Divevolk remarkable customer service response to a housing issue

Probably, though the goo inside one camera lens would be more challenging — but I have AppleCare, so I paid the deductible and received a replacement.

    Divevolk on primary phone

I don't think I broke the rules, but I did get a goo leak inside; no seawater. That said, I just finished writing this kudos thread: Divevolk remarkable customer service response to a housing issue

Divevolk remarkable customer service response to a housing issue

I owe Divevolk a public kudo for their extraordinary service recently -- granted that it starts with an issue with the housing, but their response was extraordinary. I've had a Divevolk Seatouch 4 MAX PLUS for about 6 months, and have used it on a liveaboard trip and a couple of short trips; a...

    Reef hook "safety" cover

(Fulfilling my tradition of over-engineered solutions to non-problems.) I've noticed that when I stow my reef hook in a pocket, not expecting to use it, it has a coat-hanger-like tendency to grab everything else in the pocket: spare double-enders, the bungee loop, and in one notable case, it...

Info Technical Discussion | HOTDIVE Diving Equipment Development

I’d just like to say that I am fascinated by and appreciate the discussion between @Tanks A Lot and @HotDive(Hide In Ocean) — clear expertise from both parties, civil and constructive tone, etc.

    Keeping spool and SMB separated.

Except briefly during the hang, I don’t clip the double-ender to the spool. No matter which way it’s clipped, there’s a moderate chance of it unhooking itself; higher if the other end is clipped to a rigid ring. instead, pull the end a loop of the line out through a spool hole and clip to...

At which point is the air coming out from the cylinder subjected to ambient pressure?

    Pressure left hand signals

Whatever the guide requests, for guided — which IME varies wildly around the world and gets further confused in mixed psi/bar groups. psi: -thousands on the arm, hundreds out front (one, seven = 1700) -hundreds on one hand (five five five two = 1700) -digits on one hand cave/aviation ( one...

    Question NAUI leaves WRSTC?

Functionally, it has those effects though, as do many standards councils in many industries. By documenting and promoting common minimum standards, such a body provides plausible explanations and (functionally) liability mitigation for cross-recognition, etc.
