I know that Aldora is a good operation, but we dove with them only one time. The trip was to be a lionfish hunt to the north. Instead they took us to some non-descript site to the south, no hunting, and after a small, poor reef they ran us over the sand. Not much fun and we are unlikely to go...

For what it's worth, I had an extraction and implant done in Cancun and dove a week later. I would have gone sooner but weather was bad. YMMV.

Your physics is right, but if taking in that breath moves you up slightly in the water that breath, your wetsuit and any air in your BCD expands much more in the shallows than it does when you are deeper. That expansion tends to move you up more, and the process repeats to bad effect.

Punta Sur sites are unlikely to be affected by building on Cozumel. The current pretty much runs to the North.

Cedral Pass is another one of those dives where you can't look at any percentage of the life you go by. Amazing!

Cozumel is massive walls and lots of coral and life. Puerto Morelos is smaller coral and massive amounts of fish. This year I think I saw more clouds of fish on Cozumel than we have. But life on Santa Rosa???? Are you staying above 40 feet? Below 50' it is just alive.

Anybody who complains about the life on Santa Rosa must have been on some good stuff when they remember seeing more.

I first dove with a hookah at 12. Those were the instructions. At 22 I built a hookah and found I could hook both of my 25' hoses together and reach 50 feet. Had about 50# of pressure at the surface so WOB was a little high.

There is never an analyzer on our boat except ours. This year one other person asked to use it. One time I wasn't sure which tanks we would be diving so I analyzed some that were not ours. The guy that was going to use them got kinda snarky with me.
