    My back surgery...

I get a kick out of you oh so law abiding people breaking the law in ways that actually could kill someone if a mistake was ever made. And then insisting scuba divers should never hold their breath.

Ask your local power company linemen how they feel about you using that system to power your house. Don't care, do you?

    Scuba repair listed for sale

If money is worth anything 5% would require $233 of interest 365 days of the year. Better do a couple of reg overhauls every day above what you need to live on.

Overweighted at beginning of dive but underweighted at end in shallows

The buoyancy change is the same per pound of air used. You start out with less lead. Easy to identify a full HP 100 vs an empty one by lifting them both.

Overweighted at beginning of dive but underweighted at end in shallows

So you think it improves the CO2 buildup to hesitate breathing with your lungs on the empty side vs on the full side?

Overweighted at beginning of dive but underweighted at end in shallows

I think I agree. but we are not talking about breath hold diving. We are talking about hesitating breathing with fuller lungs vs hesitating with emptier lungs. Taking a breath and immediately exhaling it and then waiting will not get as much O2 out of the air as doing it the other way.

Overweighted at beginning of dive but underweighted at end in shallows

All good, but the longer you hold the air the more O2 goes to your body and the more CO2 leaves your body. If you doubt me try holding your breath for varying lengths of time and exhale into an O2 sensor.

Overweighted at beginning of dive but underweighted at end in shallows

I think your numbers are good but don't forget that it is total weight, not just body weight. Weight of BCD, weight of weights, weight of fins, etc.

Overweighted at beginning of dive but underweighted at end in shallows

Keep in mind that if you want to get the most O2 out of the air and get rid of the most CO2 with your exhale then you will pause after the inhale not the exhale.

Afrin, used in moderation, only at night, It helps me many more days than they say it can. Use very much and the rebound will be really bad.

I take a Zyrtec every day. I usually use Flonase. I take psuedoephidrine often. And often use a little nasal spray to be able to sleep. I've had two operations to open up my nose. Never again, lots of pain and no gain. Dive without psuedoephidrine? Nope!

A couple of years ago I came through the Cancun airport with 3 computers in my suitcase, all wrapped up with their power supplies. After x-rays they asked me what they were and I told them. They sent me to secondary inspection. Secondary opened the suitcase and asked me what I was doing with all...

One time I was sitting in front of a dive shop in Mexico and decided to turn on my phone. It immediately rang and it was a customer with a service station. He said "listen to this" and held his phone so I could hear the sound the pump made. I told him what the sound was and told him a 3000 mile...
