    Just for laughs...

So they weren't students...they were instructor trainers. So what? You're so above them that you post their videos and laugh at them? Quite frankly, you're no guru yourself, my friend. Truthfully, you're in no place to ridicule ANYBODY. Goodluck.

    Just for laughs...

Instructor police? No, Andy, I don't police anybody. Never have and never will. And I sure as hell won't post videos of instructors and students, label it "just for laughs", then claim it's for "education". As Doppler said in another thread you posted, there's nothing you can do about...

    Just for laughs...

Gcarter- Ignore bad instruction? Yes, I'm not the sidemount police. And I'm not about to post videos of bad instruction on the internet and label it "for laughs" or whatever. As professionals we communicate with other instructors if there's issues. We DON'T post numerous videos of them and...

    Just for laughs...

Sure these divers are doing it incorrectly but do you feel compelled to start a bunch of threads about it and encourage people to ridicule them? How would YOU like it if the shoe was on the other foot? Why don't you contact the dive shop in question and offer them a solution?

    How to transition to SM

I wouldn't use the backplate. There's several threads explaining why. What you should do is seek training and equipment configuration from someone who dives and teaches sidemount regularly. They will go over the equipment and the reasons why some things work and some don't. Goodluck but beware...

Confirmation about xDeep Stealth's BC mounting

I made two rigs: cold and warm water. Cold water rig (w/ heavy steels) I use loop bungees and a nomad buttplate. Warm water rig I have a continuous bungee which I will be changing over to loops. Way more advantages to that. Single bungee & snaps to the d-rings adds clutter and pins the d-ring...
