Your're a genius. It'd have to be the coozie for slim cans... which I've also repurposed as insulating sleeves for an Aeropress
EDIT: the coozie is a little too big, it falls off. The LD40 isn't bulky enough!
My singles wing is Aqua / Shocking Pink / Urban Camo. The pink is VERY visible underwater. The camo, being monochrome, also remains pretty visible. The bright yellow and neon green I've seen underwater and they stay visible, the yellow I recall looks more white at depth.
Blue is the best color anyway, anyone who disagrees can fight me. :-D
@Bobby have you thought about/found any protective caps for the light head (output side) similar to the rubbery ones H puts on the Focus?
We have a really comprehensive hardware store in San Diego (Marshall's Hardware for...
Just finished Fundies this past weekend with David Watson. We had a "mixed" team, two divers single/wetsuits and me in doubles/drysuit. We did one dive together before class to meet and see what we were like in the water. My teammates were already pretty calm and stable so I had no worries...
I recently got an LD40, maybe 10 dives on it so far. I'm happy with it, I haven't need anything other than low or medium brightness yet, regardless of night/day or visibility in San Diego waters.
For gas tracking I have a range of SCR in my wet notes; used the standard 20l/min for MG. Current fundies student and yes part of our homework was to do this for a few different tanks (below, D12, HP100 and Al80). The math is easier in metric!
Evolv has certainly become more polished (branding and product) over the past few years. (Also, their Cruzer approach shoes are my usual kicks while setting up gear at the dive site).
+27 for the AeroPress. I do espresso-based drinks at home on a Silvia but have an AeroPress at work, one in my camping bin, and for some unknown reason yet another that I travel with. Don't get them wet after midnight, they'll multiply!
For beans, I'll pre-grind and just accept the decrease...
San Diego here, but signed up for Fundies with Dave Watson in OC/Catalina start of June. I'm going to see if I can get used to doubles before then and dive those, but if I don't feel comfortable then I'll just commit to single-tank for class. I don't know about switching during class, but I...
I try to be descriptive :-) As a developer, nothing is worse (well, not a lot worse) than a user emailing you saying "this doesn't work" with at best a screenshot that lacks meaningful context!
Ooh I like the improvements to the statistics component, thank you.
One issue that I'm seeing (if there's nothing apparent that I'm doing wrong, I'll submit an issue on GitHub) is on v5 my SAC coloration is really off (almost entirely green, and some dives where there's some "yellowing" the...
I also started off (classes aside) in BP/W and long hose config. Maybe got a few half-weird looks diving that and DIN steel tanks in the Keys, but from the jacket BC crowd with danglies and such. I dive pretty much the same config as almost everyone else I dive with in San Diego- all much more...
Well you should have said so in the first place!
Anyway, it'd be like another $15-20 for hardware so if I'm second in line, I'll respectfully pass (at the asking price at least).
