Paula, Sorry to hear about your gear, will print out your list and take it into a couple of the dive shops I use. We have had so little theft in the dive community, we tend to not worry. Thanks for sharing and remind us we now have to take extra care. Kim

The quarry is a little over a mile off I75, off the LaPlaisance Road exit for Monroe. The entrance for diving would be on the old road used when the quarry was being mined. Not sure how the dive shop will set up for diving as there is no facilities or buildings right now at the site for...

Just got an update on the quarry yesterday, looks like the target to open to the public for diving is this spring. No specific date has been set. Will post more as I get info.

I don't know what part of Michigan you're in, but today is the second time this week for ICE. I'll take snow anyday over this!!!!!!!! Even the snow is coated with ice. Makes for real fun going outside.

Now the very western part of Lake Erie could hit 70 but then the ave. depth is 15 feet!!!! I don't think you want to dive this end of the lake.

If you drive in Michigan, we have the same law. And yes you will get a ticket for not moving to the next lane or slowing down.

I bought my TLS350 10 years ago. I have used it in caves, wrecks, you name it. It has held up well. I don't think you can go wrong with the TLS350. BTW, I have my first leak in the suit, so think I have gotten my money's worth!

Glad you found this board. You will find three pretty good training quarries within an hour of BG. Gilboa, Whitestar and Portage. I grew up just outside BG and went to BGSU many years ago. Although I am now in Michigan, I still do my training dives at those three quarries. Welcome to join...
