I tried a lot of my friends fins when my jet fins were ripped off, (only had them for 12 years). I finally bought another pair of jets. Glad I did. Still love them.
Rosbif71.....Diving with a new diver is a great fun. I enjoy watching new divers as they gain experience. Don't worry about the short dive, just relax, have fun and work on your skills. Soon you will be doing longer and longer dives. As they say, it just takes practice. (I still practice...
Once you starting relaxing you will need less weight and less air. Another tip, try humming a tune. This way you are exhaling completely and it slows your breathing down.
Remember to have some fun.......
Sorry to hear your job has been eliminated. It is hard to go through but seems rougher this time of year. I do know how you are feeling as my job was eliminated the beginning of this month. There are jobs out there, just have to remember it may take awhile. Networking, like you are doing...
To all who have served or are serving, THANK YOU.
To those of you who are stationed far from home this holiday season, know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of those here at home. Stay safe and God's speed.
There is a quarry on the south side of Monroe that a dive shop is trying to set up for diving. I do not think it is open for diving yet. Last time I heard, the vis was about 3-5 feet.
I have been diving 'tech' for most of the last 10 years, bad knee and all. I am also older then most of the buddies I dive with. Of my last 300 dives maybe 20 were in a single tank. I find doubles much more comfortable. That said, I have several different sizes of doubles. My favorite set...
Cathy,

[Cathy,
Welcome to diving. We all started out as newbies so don't be shy, just come diving. Lots of good people on this board dive almost every weekend and we are always looking to meet and dive with new people, no matter what level of diving you are at. Just watch this forum.
I dive...
Are you looking for pictures of the ship before it went down? I think I may have a book with a picture. I will look tonight when I get home. Also may have a drawing of the Cedarville as it looks on the bottom.

Paula,
I think your friends will be diving with the group I am going with. We have 5 coming from Divers Inc, and will meet your two friends at the boat. We are keeping our fingers crossed we don't get blown out on Sunday, but the weather forecast sure needs to improve.
Kim
Yes that would be who I am diving with, boat leaves at 8:30 am. . We have about 5-7 going as he did not get the boat filled. Have fun, maybe I will see you on the Regina.
If anyone is looking for a deal on an O'Neil drysuit or wetsuit, Divers Inc. in Ann Arbor Michigan is having a sale on all suits in stock, 50% off. Divers Inc is now owned by new management and Rich is a nice guy to deal with. Just thought I would pass it on.
