How to inhale with mouth only

I have seen some people that apparently can not close off there nasal passage completely when they exhale because they have problems with mask flooding and you can see a small stream of bubble comming out of the top of the mask. I am a mouth breather normally but can switch to nasal and back to...

    CONSHELF XIV DIN Adaptor??

Is that Conshelf the XII? They had a different yoke attachment, yoke retaining nut, than the later Conshelfs, surclip yoke retainer? What about the o-ring at the base of the DIN connector? If I remember correctly the TITAN has a grove to retain the o-ring. If it does work properly on a XIV and...

    Keep your fins!

Taking your fins off and putting them over your arm is fine in warm water but in cold water with a dry suit and dry gloves with big wrist rings putting your fins on your arm is not going to work well at all.

    AquaLung/U.S. Divers 2nd stage id

I picked up this 2nd stage as part of a reg set from eBay, it has no model name on the label to identify it. I am assuming that it is basically the same internally as far as parts and service as the Conshelf XIV 2nd stage. I have attached some pictures for reference. Thanks for any help

    Giant Bladder (BP/W)?

Manufacturers use a bladder that is bigger than the wing its self, saves stress on the blade when fully inflated. That bladder does seem to be excessively large though. it could create creases and folds that would trap air. I have a Zeagle 44# lift wing and it also can be difficult to get all...

    Suicide strap for recreational diver

PADI may not but as a DM you use the configuration dictated by the Instructor for the class and the shop you work for. I may not agree with it but I do what the powers say. I wear a regular BC similar to the shops for the OW, they do let me wear my BPW for all the open water classes except the...

    Suicide strap for recreational diver

I use a bungee on the short hose secondaries on all my reg setups. If I am DMing I use the short hose reg with bungee as my primary, thank you PADI, and clip off the secondary. If I am doing a recreational dive I use the reg on the long hose, 40" or 60" as my primary and the reg on the bungee as...

Help with getting unusual odor out of a wetsuit

Dr X New Helo everyone. I recently bought a secondhand dive computer that reeks of smoke (Oceanic air integrated with the compass on it, so it's quite big). I'm worried about using anything strong on it, and charcoal, baking soda, and sitting in a tub with dish detergent have not helped. Any...

    fill time

If you are going to be filling very many tanks regularly setting up a bank of storage bottles may be more practical than filling straight from a compressor.

    Zeagle Express Tech opinions please

That is false Advertising. There must be a reason Zeagle is shipping with the 44# wing, it is a more expensive wing to produce and really to large for what the ET was originally ment for.. It maybe is having trouble with getting the 24# wing or they are in in the process of a design change. A...

    Best videos on improving trim?

Trim is as much about where the weight is as it is about form. Trim is basicly where the weight is in relation to the center of gravity. If you are foot heavy you need to move weight higher up on your body. If you are foot light move weight farther down on your body. If you are over weighted...

    Cardboard boxes for shipping/checking tanks

TSA will open the boxes any way to inspect the tanks to make sure they are empty. The general opinion is remove the valve and tape over the opening when shipping by air.

    Zeagle Express Tech opinions please

The difference between the base ET and the Deluxe is padding and the harness. The Deluxe has the Deluxe Harness which includes a two piece shoulder straps with a D ring for attaching the chest strap and allowed the shoulder harness to pivot on the D ring, there are quick release fastex buckles...

    Another Zeagle ET thread.

If you are diving in saltwater with a 7mil the 24# wing MAY be a little small but the ET can be ordered with a larger wing, 35# ? I believe or larger. The Rip Cord weight system is not adjustable for length and can move the weight to far towards the back and cause you to want to turn turtle...

    Big guy... big tanks?

I believe Leisure pros weight specs are wrong. All the large steel tanks are at most 1# positive, with valve, when empty. The Faber is 0# negative when empty and 9.5# negative when full.

    scuba.com

I buy from my LDS when they have what I need but they often do not stock some of the things I need. Their prices on some things make buying from them economically challenging. If you have unlimited funds and time to wait for orders to be placed and shipped to the shop when they place an order to...

    Zeagle Express Tech opinions please

The Express Tech is basicly a one size fits all. Sizing on the Express Tech is very easy yo adjust. You just have to move the triglides on the bottom of the shoulder section of the harness on each side to the length needed. Integrated weights can be added to the BC by putting some of the XS...

Trim Pocket Location for AL Zuma BCD

The same thing in reverse can be done if you need to move some weight lower by putting the cam band on the bottom of the tank. This helps if you are a taller person using shorter steel tanks.
