    Blacktip tech 20ah batteries

I also bought a blacktip at a discount so it was not difficult to justify the NSG battery purchase. I would be happy to dive with you in a FL cave and let you check it out. I did have to remove a LOT of the weight to trim it....

    Review Blacktip DPV Woes

I have not had a problem with my blacktip yet. However, when I heard about the tubes imploding, I emailed them to ask if mine was ok. They replied and asked me to send photos of all the bits (tail, inspection stickers, serial #, nose cone, etc). After several exchanges of many photos someone...

They did include a warning about disconnecting from the cloud. Android is no better, I got several error messages. Couldn't get it working.

Question Dive shop won’t hydro test tanks due to previous hydro test stamp placement?

If you have your own compressor, I'd stick it in my truck bed and use it to fill tires or run a booster. If the stamps were below that black rub line, I'd be a little more concerned. The tank doesn't even look like it's been used that much.

Question Any objective data on SPG or transmitter failure rates?

Shearwater. They do keep logging pressure even if you don't press the OK button. The downloaded log just shows a "coms lost for 30 seconds" gap.

Getting my 11 y/o into diving

I got certified when I was 12. Nobody really thought anything of it. I did the same stuff as everyone else in the class (even tables) and passed the same tests. It was 1986 though. Kids back then didn't seem to have as many "issues" as they do today, times are definitely much different.

    The Underwater Bike....

Yeah, I meant "cheap". You can almost buy a real boat for what a Hobie costs.... They only have flapping "fins" not a real propeller. And their draft sucks for skinny flats

    The Underwater Bike....

I would like to see this adapted into something you could bolt to a kayak. Maybe with a shroud.

Apeks Flight intermediate pressure. Do I have to depressurise?

Am I correct in assuming that you have no way to "turn it off"? Once you install the 1st stage on a tank and fill it, you have constant air pressure in it unless the tank is empty? If this is the case, then yes, setting the IP will be an interesting feat without draining the tank. You could hook...

Apeks Flight intermediate pressure. Do I have to depressurise?

What is the IP? Your drysuit doesn't really care what the 1st stage IP is. Unless it's way off, I wouldn't bother messing with it, particularly without any experience doing so. There should be an OPV one of the LP ports in case the IP takes off unexpectedly.
