    opinions on DIR diving

I find DIR to limiting. I want to be able to dive with whom I want to and not with who an agency says I have to to be part of the cult. I do like most of their ideas and do use them. BUT I think that if everyone believed in the DIS i would make more sense. (DIS Doing it Safely) O2DIVER

    St. Lawrence

Big Jim can answer this better, but we do not have to log in with Customs as we will not be in US waters. I forgot to mention thaat drift dives on the US side are not allowed also unless you check in at Customs.. The word is that they will relax the rules durring the summer if everyone follows...

    St. Lawrence

Sorry for not giving the castle name. It is Boldt castle. They have a customs office in there. It is going to make all dive charters longer, even more so for the ones that have to travel up river from Brockville and then head back down. I have not heard of a location yet in the Brockville area...

    St. Lawrence

I'm the Dive Coordinator for a club and the information that has been passed on to me is as follows: All divers must register at the castle. Phone calls to customs is not good enough. Customs has now allowed the charter captains to call in upon exiting US waters. No divers are allowed...

    Vytec on EBAY!!??

I'll be diving mine this weekend. I'll post on Monday what I think. Set up was easy and doing the gas switches underwater should be quite simple as well by the looks of it. TTFN

    BC Knife?

I and most of the people I dive with have mounted their knives there, as it is a place that you can reach with either hand. It is also easily seen by you and your buddies and as stated above you can return it to its sheath without too much worry about stabing something.

    Computer Poll

I had a Vyper for the last two years and it was an excelent computer. I sold it the other day and picked up a Vytec. Looks like the Vyper but has more user fields besides being able to do gas switches. :)

    Cobra, Vytec, VR3...dillema, please help!!

The Vyper is a great computer, I had one of the first on the market with no problems. I have just sold it and bought the Vytec. I'll post later on its preformance when I get a chance to get out. My two cents says you can't go wrong with the suunto products which ever one you choose. TTFN...

    Vytec on EBAY!!??

Just picked mine up from my LDS. I'll share my findings when I try it out. Set up is like the Vyper and Cobra. The only difference is you have some control over the RGBM, and the other two mixes. TTFN O2diver

    Certification Agency Poll

Seahunter, Please leave store Ads where they belong, not on the board. What will be the next padi revolution? No instructors and the full course on line by passing a middleman so they can gain full restitution of funds.. The open water will be done with 3d glasses in vertual reality, thus...
