OK compressor guys, a few questions...

Look in your engine space and see if you can run a belt off your main engine and mount the compressor in the engine space, I run 2 RIX 6 cfm compressors off my main engine using a hydraulic take off (I also make water and charge the batteries at the same time, both things I need more of when I...

    New Nitrox Stick

Flip the analyzers and see if they show the same difference, if so it's your setup if not one of the sensors may need replacing.

Looking for a single phase 10-15hp motor

Get a new system a 15hp single phase will cost more than a new compressor system and you will need 60+ amp service, or so. That's why things move up to 220 volt and then 3 phase, so you don't need this type of motor or service.

    Halcyon vs DSS

Because unlike most manufacturers they will deal directly with their customer base. I like that.

    Halcyon vs DSS

Opps my aluminium plate isn't from DSS but works fine with my DSS wing.

    Halcyon vs DSS

Buy a DSS setup directly from them (not through a dive shop), you won't be disappointed. For weight issues use an aluminum plate not plastic, but for a couple of pounds difference stick with the SS.

    Oceanic Atom 2.0 Wristwatch

Have used a Data Trans with good success, for years and back it up with an old XTC 100 which I love because it has large numbers which means I can read them without my bi-focal mask.

    Air 2 versus Conventional Octopus?

Put one on and keep your regular octo, try it, practice with it; if you like it and can safely use it go with it if you don't like it drop it. Others’ opinions won't help you or your buddy at 90 ft when the need arises.

Signing liability release on a liveaboard trip

Indonesia is where you are going, every dive tour operator I know uses a waive like that. (it sounds like PADI wording). I have signed them in 8-9 countries. It is worded as harshly as possible; so as to have you sign away you’re right to sue, as if you had one to start with in many...

Hog Town Motel/Papa Hogs Dive Shop-Any good?

It all depends on what you expect, not what you want. I have sent several very satisfied friends to Margaret and Mike at the Hogtown Motel and Dive Emporium and had one very angry response from someone who was unhappy; he was an AI type, so you can’t please everyone. It is great value...
