Atomic Z2 vs. Zeagle Envoy Envoy Rezort

I like the Zeagle choice, I have found them to be a bombproof with flawless operation now for 4 years (been diving for 30 years, used lots of brands). I have used the Atomics in the past and as good as they were they are more expencive and didn't operate any better.

    ? for Scott

How long it the hose on a Concept II BC? I don't want to go down to the boat and measure it and am buying replacement hoses for all my BCs and regs.

The new MiFlex Braided hoses - Not so much...

On my alternate I used a 7ft regular hose that I gathered and tucked into a pair of bungies on my tank, worked OK. I tried a 5ft. and it works much much better (easy to setup, easy to deploy and holds very well because it’s lighter and more flexible). I’m sold I’ll switch...

Whats the Diff btw an Octo and primary reg ???

I use two identical 2nd stages and switch up from time to time so they both get used. My alternate for you would be the one not in my mouth. As above the difference may be the tuning not the parts.

    Lightest Reg for Travel

Well the 7 foot DIR hose may be your main weight problem. A few ounces on your first stage won’t mean much, just get use to paying extra weight charges. :eyebrow:

    Lightest Reg for Travel

Is it a question of weight or size, I find size more important than several oz or gr of weight, go with something like a Zeagle reg, all their regs are relatively small and an air integrated computer add an Air 2 alternate air source (or whatever the brand you get calls it) on your BC, that will...

    lil help here

I use Apeks regs and the XTX second stage is a nice size. They are now owned by Aqualung so service and parts are availible almost anywhere.

What is your experience with rental regs?

There are often high end regs available in many rental shops, the store wants people to have access to them as demos so they will buy that model, ask when you rent. The rental regs are sometimes the easiest to maintain and service not the cheapest, as an example piston regs are often the...

Arg my brain is going to explode: reg choice suggestions much appreciated:)

I dive out of Vancouver and now use Zeagle’s regs, they can be very inexpensive and I have mostly Flathead XP’s but got an Envoy Deluxe and find it great for the price, it can be environmentally sealed if you want to do that down the line. Several shop in Vancouver service...

    Micra ADJ vs Oceanic GT3

The 2 represent different generations of design, the Micra Adj is a good second stage, mine (I have 3) have all moved to Titan 1st stages. The Micra on a Cousteau tuned properly is a very good reg even at depth. Sure there are regs with better specs but they aren’t 20+ year old designs...

Who is going to be the guinea pig?

It may be the replacement for my Omega when shooting. I used Poseidon for years but they are just to expencive.

Quick Deploy Signal Marker Kit and the Stiletto

I have attached the top grommets to one of the bucklie thingies (the other one holds the wrist band system). This is between the harness and the bladder (on my Concept II Pro, on my BP/W its easy to set up). I tried using both tank bands (which works well) but found it was hard to reach, I had...

    Putting the reg set together??

Most don’t have to be tuned for intermediate pressure, straight from the factory, as long as they don’t leak they will work fine.

    3500 psi gauges????

My Favourite Dive Computer which I sometimes use is a Oceanic XTC 100 which has huge numbers. I am an underwater Photographer and am focusing back and forth from camera, through the lenses to review screen to depth to air supply, I have used small brass gauges for 20 years and like their...

    3500 psi gauges????

OK we need 3000 PSi one for us LP guys and 5000 psi ones for you 300+ bar guys, but not just 5000 psi spgs. I dive an AI with and without the transmitter depending on what I'm doing, but I like the spg sitting there for when I’m distracted I can recognize where my gas is at. OMS or...

    3500 psi gauges????

OK so the eyes are going, eh!!! I do have bifocals for my mask. I only have one left of my OMS brass gauges in psi that only goes to 3500, where can I find good small brass gauges that go to 3500 not 4500-5000? When diving LP tanks the 5000 psi gauges are *******ing hard to read, got one...
