Agreed! I did the math today and figuring the difference between renting tanks and just a fill (of your own tanks) is around $7/tank/day. That means at roughly $700 for two HP100s/120s. Figuring 2 dives per day locally, 2 days diving per "trip" that's 4 "fills" per trip saving $28/trip. $700/$28...
Dan, et al. I have the Waterproof SemiDry (The Taurus) and LOVE it!! It's great in the local Monterey waters. I've only dove it to 45 degrees but still been toasty and what little water is in it is HOT. That said, I hardly get wet at all. I usually put on a little conditioner on my arms and legs...
The issue I had when trying on the Waterproof gloves is the zipper always came undone... I'm using a set of 5mm similar to jim and they work great! Just have to get the seal flat :)
So everyone not on the island talks about diesel and gas supplies. While it's a logical next step that doesn't make it reality. Can anyone confirm if there is or isn't a gas/diesel shortage?
What did you think of the Sanctuary? Seems the "big" ones are the cypress sea and the beach hopper II. I've been looking at the Sanctuary since it's a smaller boat with less people.
The problem with diving tables in this way is they assume a square profile. Very few dives are "square". A computer will give you much longer dive times by constantly recalculating your NDL based on depth and air consumption
