HP 100-130 with yolk valve in Bay Area

Except at $300 each tank, plus needing to be hydro'd it would be cheaper to buy new.

Saw the new Halcyon "Infinity" adjustable harness today...

Ouch! $900? :shakehead: That's about twice the price of a DSS setup with adjustable harness. Those blue "H" decals must be expensive!

    Spyderco Caspian Salt mini-review

Good to see someone else with it! I dove with mine last weekend and no rust anywhere on it... including the H1 symbol. I agree it needs rubber straps. I zip-tied it to my BC. The OEM straps are useless. You'd think a reputable company like Spyderco would have figured that out.

Dove off the Cypress Sea Sat. It was a last minute thing when my buddy for Sat bailed. Full boat but still plenty of room to move around. Mike captained the ship. Got paired up with a guy visiting from Pittsburg. His first dive in Monterey but had a decent amount of experience diving around...

Which reg to get -- I like the Aqualung Legend

The Legend is a solid regulator and most people that have them love them. As long as you have an LDS that can service it yearly it's a good choice. For other options you may want to check out Apeks and Zeagle. Some great deals can still be had on the Zeagle Flathead-VI (their recently replaced...

    Spyderco Caspian Salt mini-review

First of all, I haven't dove with it yet... It just arrived this evening. It's a little smaller than I expected but fits well in my hand. Curious how it will feel with gloves on. The knife itself looks solid and arrived very sharp. The sheath has a locking "button" and fits VERY tight. It...

Any interest in MC-E dive lights?

the LED light was interesting... the HID, not so much. There are already too many good HID can lights from established dive light companies with larger economies of scale...

    Where to go in September/October?

I'd say around SF california. LOTS of great diving around monterey and plenty of non diving activity from great beer, to wine country to SF itself.

    Gloves: Waterproof or 4th Element

I have a similar set to the Dry 5's and while it's easier with a buddy it only takes an extra min or so to set them up correctly by myself. Certainly not difficult.
