Maybe, but most divers think their instructor was excellent, even when the instructor is really inadequate. Interview him to be sure. Print out the questions in the link I provided and find out how comprehensive a course he teaches.

Scubapro Jet Fins with original rubber straps. Combined with my boots, they are neutrally buoyant in sea water. They have power and fine control. Absolutely the best fins I've ever tried. I use Duck Feet when diving vintage, they are almost as good as Jets.
