    Santi Enduro vs Elite Plus

It's heavy and quite stiff. And it's not as fancy as Santi's other suits. I loved the loaner I was diving.

    Info Aqualung Financial Troubles

One problem that I do see, however, is AL trying to squeeze every single penny out of Apeks and pricing them out of the market. Apeks wasn't the cheapest to begin with and, as far as I can tell, are going up in price more than market average.

    Info Aqualung Financial Troubles

I'll say it again: I am not overly concerned. Kits are available from 3rd party vendors and when the time comes to replace my current regs there are plenty of options to chose from. Not to mention that there are good chances that Apeks will continue to operate under someone else.

Suggestion What I Most Dislike About Scubaboard

AFAIK, section for new divers has special rules for posting, but sometimes you just have to be blunt. But, at the end of the day, it's a public forum. You just need to learn to brush off stuff you don't like.

I have taken my XTX 50 down to 60 m on OC with no issues.

    Apeks 1st stage weights

No, it won't. Your only solutions are moving tank bands up or using tail weight.

Do you carry a tourniquet when diving?

I would love to see tourniquet application in this case! https://scubaboard.com/community/threads/diver-bit-by-tiger-shark-in-maldives.652801/

Question How to improve buoyancy and trim?

I'd just add a variation: stop every now and then. You can offset bad buoyancy with swimming at an angle (bad trim). If 1st is right, 2nd will follow.

    Question Storing drysuit long term?

I store mine folded in it's own bag with plastic zip open, but protective zip closed. Silicone seals are talc'd. Not sure if it's needed, but at least it helps with donning.

Question Ordering Seaskin, please double check

Agree with vioch. Unless you are doing a lot of DPV diving, there is not a lot of strees in crotch area. I wanted to go with back protection to avoid any possible damage from back plate, but decided to go with Cordura insert on plate itself. QCS and P-valve are great suggestions . One thing I...

Do you carry a tourniquet when diving?

I guess I did not elaborate enough. This thread went from having a tourniquet in the first place to applying it underwater. I find it hard to imagine what would warrant such an action. By all means have it topside, but all this have it at all times on you is over the top. You like sound of your...

Do you carry a tourniquet when diving?

What do I have on me that doesn't increase my profile in water and can be used in multiple applications? Jon line and my secondary hand held light comes to MY mind. Wrap line around limb and use light as a lever. Use rest of Jon line to secure light. Why do people tend to go for as specific as...

    Diving in Montenegro

There are a lot of nice spots just outside of Boka Kotorska bay- Gorgonije, Poseidon's city, Wolf's bay, Arza point etc. There is a nice wreck on exit of Boka Kotorska, but for that one you have to go through Croatia, since it's within their teritorial water. I am not sure who is open this time...

Want to Hire a Deep Sea Diver for Fish Collection

Then you should be aware that it was hobbyists that developed most of the techniques and equipment to keep those species alive in a tank where they then can be studied by scientists. While OP might have been ignorant of risks and obstacles, there is no need to pile up on him for what seems to...

    Review Seaskin Nova drysuit

OK, so you have seen it in person. How do you find it compared to Seaskin? Material, stitching? I am liking how they implemented keeping pockets flat.
