Funny that all those educational lifting over your head videos use a baby cylinder. Use a steel tank, steel plate, and maybe some additional weights for cold water drysuit diving thrown in.
Sitech cuff system: never had an issue on this or my precious suit.
Expedition pockets: totally agree with the previous poster. Do NOT get zippered pockets if you beachdive in Cali. The Velcro patch on the expedition pockets is generous and works even if in sand. No worries.
There is only 1 real dive shop in Santa Barbara: SB Aquatics in Goleta. If you want to do beach dives, Refugio as mentioned is easiest entry and has facilities. Tajiguas is good but requires a short walk up and down the cliff. No facilities there. Restaurants depend on budget and taste. There is...
For dive boats check the Spectre, Peace, and Raptor out of Ventura going to Anacapa Island. Best beach dive is probably Refugio which about a 15min drive north on 101. Refugio has a nice reef with kelp at 20ft depth running East-west.

Hi Bob, You Show all those nice pictures starting out in the funk-zone of Santa Barbara. Do you have a place here in Santa Barbara where one could try some of your fins? Unfortunately no one I dive with locally has your fins.
