I only caught one person out of all those posting who suggests the most important question, what do you need it for? Experienced divers all know "Bailout" is not a complete answer. There are a number of reasons why, but the simplest is that we do...
So, the Doctor Signs off, the Parents sign off. Are instructors and shops still Liable? it certainly has been called into question on the boards (meaning no legal precedent) with the BSA/ScubaDiver/PADI discussion this fall.
Not sure what the concern is. This is the kit that comes with the Sensorcon CO sensor. Nothing more than a .5 lpm flow restrictor and a blow by valve, plus a couple of connectors.
Sensorcon works fine when used properly. Most people splash CO in front of it and then complain it isn't reading properly. Instead, set a flow across the sensor at around .5 lpm, hit the max button, and let run for ~30 secs. I have two that I run in line with my blending sticks, as wells as a...
So, went ahead and recalibrated both of mine. Reset at 0ppm (walk outside and shake a minute) then run 50ppm calibration gas at .5 lpm for 1 minute. A week later, both are responding as expected to 15 ppm and 150 ppm bump gases, meaning they detect CO at appropriate levels. For accurate...

How does an anchor ball/retrieval system work? - The Hull Truth - Boating and Fishing Forum
Hroark,
We have a special sizing tool in our shop called a Wadsunn. You stick your member in and the volume of the hum returned is directly related to the size inside the cavity. Kind of a Volume displacement measurement for your unit. Your shop may have one as well.!!!

I'll stay a boat owner as well. The only reason my boat was more expensive than an equal amount of charters last year was the amount of trips they cancelled!! 21' Sea Ox Cuddy, adequate room for 4 divers, 12 tanks and 50 comfortable miles. Fortunately, Ramps are free in NC (at least, where I am)...
Sorry, I thought I was clear. While a Nitrogen booster, it has been cleaned using O2 seals and lubricants. The unit was also disassembled and O2 cleaned at the component level.
The only difference is the compression ratios.
21 Foot SeaOx Cuddy with a single 200 HP, Radar and Radio. Because it is a single engine, I don't like going out much more than 30 miles, especially here in NC where the weather can change substantially over 2 hours. My offshore distance is additionally regulated by weather trends.
Typical...
