3-4 years ago I needed a CR2450 and couldn't find one anywhere on the island. On our last trip, though, which was about a year ago, they were everywhere. Agree with the posts about price, though, it'd be a lot less expensive to bring a couple with you.

I just got back from there, it was my first trip, so I followed my typical Cozumel practice of tipping $5 per tank, per diver. The DM's actually seemed pleasantly surprised that I tipped them, I got the impression that its not usually done there. And I didn't see too many other divers tipping...

I second all of the comments on this thread. My daughter and I go to Coz twice a year, we always stay at Hotel Cozumel, always dive with Dive Paradise.

Good point. I've been tipping $5 per tank per diver, or thereabouts, for about five years now, plus a bump at the end of the week if we've been with the same DM every day and he's done a good job. And there are none better than Martin Matu at Dive Paradise, but I digress. Probably more than...

Agree, with the exception of the unlimited shore dives. I think their tank rental is $7 or thereabouts and the shore dive is, I think, pretty lame.

Agreed. As I said in my other post, live and learn. I learned when I mentioned the same thing to our dive instructor when we got home that year. He lit me up like a pinball machine. Which is why spare batteries are now always the first thing on our packing list.
