Diver's body with more than 50kg of cocaine found on Newcastle port riverbank

Police are reported as investigating if the drugs were attached to the outside of the ship, which make sense, given the circumstances. Would this be classified as a rebreather death?

    Broken screw removal

the female looks like a threaded metal insert into a plastic case, and really tiny. I would go down the jeweller road myself, but you still have to get a bolt small enough , diameter and length to go in the hole. plan B would be glue it down and throw it out when the time comes for the next...

Keep reminding people: Don't rent scooters and don't dive without DAN accident insurance!

Laying her down usually means putting the bike on is side while moving, I had to lay her down usually means the rider had a choice of hitting something at speed or putting the bike on its side so it is sliding down the road and decided that was the safer option

The Isolation Manifold, lessons not learned and a small defence of the IUCRR

Off topic, but I have personally experienced a burst disc failing, weeks after being filled, in the middle of the night after an average day temperature wise. It was like something out of the exorcist.

Diving from 16 foot fishing boat

Leave a bouy/ float connected to the boat (bitter) end of your anchor line (rode): that way you can just throw the whole lot over board. If the anchor is fouled multiple competent people may not be able to retrieve it

Search & Recovery question: Can side scan sonar penetrate silt?

The other variable here is how long it will take for something to disappear into 4 foot of silt. I once dived in a marina with a very silty bottom looking for a propeller. It turns out the hub was still on the shaft but the blades has sheared off probably when the boat went into gear. I found...

Will 433 mhz radio freq work under water?

Without trying to be funny, why not just test it. Amazon in Australia is selling similar switches for $aud 27 or about $usd20, so they are not a huge investment Seal one end of a pvc tube, wire up the switch, a battery and a light put them in the tube, put the tube vertically in the water, and...

Is there some type of converter for this?

Having a quiet morning I googled the problem😁 It seems most devices that convert frequency do it by having a rectifier to convert ac to dc then an inverter to convert dc to ac at the right frequency. A quick Amazon search showed a lot of transformers that were 50/60 hz compatible but the way I...
