I would agree - XTC is another fine diving operation. We did some diving with them in the past. It is all a matter of your land base of operation - Xcalak or Mahahual. Both XTC and Bucaneros have the permits to go dive Chinchorro. And both Xcalak and Mahahual have some great "local diving". And...

We will be down Mahahual during those days in June. Staying at a hotel just south of town. We did a week of diving with Arturo this past February - they did a great job. For local dives they even picked us up by boat at the hotel.

I think if you check the post date - 22 Feb. This is before the restricted season.

This is a secured parking lot at the corner of Juarez and 10th on the NE corner. It has been a few years since we used the parking since we have been heading further south to Mahahual. Within walking distant to ferry. Not sure of the prices.

Well ... at least the return trips via ADO bus are a bit better 8:30 am 3:00 pm 6:00 pm - Mahahual to Cacncun with stops. The ADO only stops in Mahahual (in town or should I say village) close to the Hotel Mahahual. It does not go to Xcalak. To get to Xcalak you would need to take the vintage...

One alternative is to take the bus from Cancun to Mahahual. Very cost effective - about 166 pesos - ~$16.00 US. ADO has recently started service to Mahahual. Before ADO it was a challenge to get there. Fly into Cancun - go to the ground transportation and take a bus or taxi to the ADO bus...
