    Shark Diving with Injured Knee

I'm booked on a liveaboard for the Galapagos in a couple of weeks but have a knee injury. On land, I limp, but with fins on in the water think I swim more or less normally, just not so fast (i.e. I don't look injured). As apex predators with exceptional senses for finding injured fish, I'm...

    Should You Go Shark Diving?

From what I've observed, shark diving seems to be good for marriages. If one partner doesn't want to go, the other one goes, you get some time away, have the chance to miss each other and have an amazing adventure. It's perfect really, try that argument the next time you want to go shark diving :)

    Should You Go Shark Diving?

I'm with you, I'm still on the fence about the cage dives and shark feeds (although I have to admit that for one of my first shark dives it was pretty amazing), but you have to wonder about the long term impact. I'm jealous, that you've dived with tigers, they are very high on my list...

    Fear of Jaws

I was afraid as well, until I was actually in the water and surprisingly relaxed rather quickly. If you're going reef diving, you MAY see a reef shark, but they're harmless to people and likely won't come very close. Enjoy your trip!

    Should You Go Shark Diving?

WOW! That sounds amazing. I haven't dived with tiger or lemons yet, but am hoping to very soon. Haven't been to Fiji yet either, but heard it's amazing! It must have been amazing to spend 3 months there! I agree with you about diving with the great whites, that would be the ultimate!

Thresher Shark Research and Conservation Project

Sounds like a fascinating project. I'll definitely have to look into volunteering sometime (this year's trip to the Galapagos is already planned, so I'm out this year). In the meantime, I've posted a link to your website from my website: Shark Diving: Your New Hobby?

    Should You Go Shark Diving?

Ever considered shark diving? As divers, we tend to be completely utterly fascinated by them or scared stiff. Shark diving is a hobby that frequently turns into an obsession. It is filled with majestical moments beyond your wildest imagination and it's is also not nearly as dangerous as it...

Cocos Island Trip Report/Save Cocos Sharks

So glad to hear you are going! I was shocked to see how many sharks had fishing hooks hanging out of their mouths, it was really sad. The largest group of hammerheads we saw was 80 the DMs said they used to see them in the 200-300 range, so I think you're smart to go now. I agree, something...

    Divers and Conservation

You bring up some good points and I think most of us could be doing more, myself included, but I also think that in some ways diving is a form of conservation in itself, in that it brings in tourism dollars which if managed properly results in longterm sustainable development and in theory...

    Name your favourite Shark

I did a liveaboard in Costa Rica and recognized the same shark on quite a few dives by her mating scars. I loved how interested, but non agressive she was. For further details visit: http://hubpages.com/hub/Magical-Places--Cocos-Island.
