If you are in South Florida you should really check out Wetwear. They are right off I-95 in Hallandale. They only make wetsuits and do not sell any other gear and they are experts on wetsuits and wetsuit materials. They will be able to tell you exactly what you need to stay warm and why you...
I have not seen any posts by wetwear in a while. They must not have anyone taking care of their Scubaboard account. I totaly agree with Deac in the Wake, just email them. They are great people and they will work with you. They also make fantastic suits.
I also have several Wetwear products. I wear a Wetwear 5mm Jumpsuit with a 5/3 shorty over it in the Rubatex material. I am able to dive 50's with no problem. The compression factors are really what help keep you warm. Wetwear's suits are also very economically priced compared to other...
Hey guys,
I am going to be in Chicago and noticed that it is the same weekend as OWU. Are you going to be there? I am traveling with a friend of mine and he wants to order one of your suits. I will make arrangments to bring him by the show if you al are going to be there. I still love my...
Hi...I have a custom wetsuit by Wetwear. Love it. It is by far the best wetsuit I have ever bought. The seals and zippers are amazing. You must get the nitrogen neoprene by rubatex, it will keep you warmer than you have ever been in the water.

Hey SelkieDVM,
You should send it to Wetwear. They can fix it and send it right back to you. They will either repair it or replace it, which ever it needs. Welcome to Wetwear - Custom Wet Suits of Rubatex Neoprene for Scuba Diving and All Water Activities
What part of Florida are you in? Wetwear can build you a suit to your measurements and specifications. They are very knowledgeable about thickness and warmth as well. They are located in South Florida, just North of Miami, and Just South of Fort Lauderdale. Their website is Welcome to...
Thanks for all the information. I guess I won't be looking for one of those anymore. The Oxycheq light looks pretty cool. I will check out a few of the other suggestions as well.
Hi ndemeis
When you say a Farmer John, are talking about a farmer john and shorty or jacket? I would go with a semi dry jumpsuit, and if you need more warmth you can always add a vest or short sleeve shorty over it. I like the jumpsuit because it offers full body protection with total...
I am trying to find a light that I saw at a dive show. I think it was called Hands free. It was a neoprene glove with a light attached to the top of the hand. It looked pretty cool and seemed to be a bright light. My LDS doesn't have anything like this.
Dose anyone have one of these? Do...
You can send it to Wetwear. They are in South Florida, not so far from you. They are a wetsuit manufacturer and also do repairs.

I can also attest to Wetwears quality! I love my suit and the people there are very knowledgeable. I would tell anyone to call them and get information about who they are and what they do, before they order a suit. It doesn't hurt to get information....then make a decision about what suit to get.
Sleeve and ankle zippers would help a lot also. It makes getting your feet and fists in a little easier.
I enjoyed reading this post. It made me laugh and realize how silly I probably looked before I got my suit with long zippers in the arms and legs. My suit is easy as 123 to put on now...
I have to chime in here on Wetwear! I had Wetwear make me up a suit when I was living up in New Jersey and I stayed toasty warm. I wore a 5mm Semi-dry Full suit (with their great long zippers in the arms and legs) during the warmer months. Then when the temps dropped, I would put a 5mm Short...
I have fixed zippers before.....not on a wetsuit though. Unfortunately you broke a tooth which means you will not be able to just replace the slider....you need a whole new zipper. There are a lot of people who can do this for you. I have had my suits made and repaired by Wetwear. You can go...
I would definitely check out Wetwear before you make any decisions. You are right about there being different grades of neoprene. Wetwear used Rubatex neoprene and it doesnt compress, therefore keeps you warmer at depth. I love my suit and would recommend them to everyone from warm water...
Looking for Feed back from anyone who has been to Wakatobi? I have seen some beautiful photos from there and I am looking into booking a trip. It's a little pricey....so wanted to get some advise before I speed the big bucks.
I'm open to other sugestions of places you have been that are...
I have dove with the OCEANIC PROBE for many years. Great BC for a resonable price. I have never had a problem and it is easy to maintain. I don't have any experience with the others.
