I have the Oxycheq Mach V on a Dive Rite SS plate with ScubaPro Super Cinch cam bands and I get no rocking at all...it feels completely stable to me in the water.
Yes...they breathe harder in that position. Some of the better regs out there will not have this problem as much. I'm pretty sure someone on here will explain the specifics of why the reg design results in that.
I've found that with my ScubaPro super cinch cam bands on either the BP with no STA or with the STA I need to slide the buckles all the way to my left shoulder. With Al80s they work fine for both for me.
When I was down there this summer I was told that the government is changing it's policy. They are adding boats down there but they are changing the policy on these boats. People can either get a pass to enter for land or diving...not both. As I see it, it's just an excuse to have people come...
Its definitely not the best camera in the world...but for that particular price range its probably the best you can get. I had mine out on about 20 dives. Its definitely simple and easy to use and the case clamping system is pretty good. The piano keys are definitely good for easy navigation...
I own the Henderson Thermoprene 8/7mm Semi-Dry and bought it specifically for Galapagos when I went this past July. I've dived in 7mm farmer johns before but never a one piece wetsuit 7mm. I definitely felt pretty warm on those dives (comfortably so). I don't know if I can directly compare...
Definitely a 7mm. I wore an 8/7 semi-dry this past July. I served me well in all of the diving situations. I found my reefhook to be pretty useless due to the size of the rocks..not really much to hook onto (no one else in my group used one either).
I can't say that I've used that particular one but if you're going to bother getting a pony I would definitely suggest getting atleast the 13cf...and really a 19cf would be of greater use and safety level (though I know many people here would probably suggest you jump right to a 30, or even...
I've had 2 problems with shipments from scubatoys and they were amazingly great about dealing with both issues...one issue was their fault and one was my fault but they fixed both situations no questions asked...definitely great service
I don't have a Nitek Trio. But I do have a Zeagle N2ition 3, which is essentially the same beast. Based on my experience with it, I would say it is possible that you're battery is starting to hit the threshold of being too low to go into dive mode. When the battery hits a certain level the...
I don't own the Salvo, but yes the slots for the harness are for 2 inch webbing. I can't actually tell with the crotch strap because it looks to be in the middle (but I would guess it's a 2 inch slot also...though this doesn't necessarily stop you from using a 1 inch strap and having it slide a...
I traveled to various environments with mine. So far have only used a traditional PADI style setup with octo on a chest D-ring. I will be switching to 7 foot hose wrapped soon though.
With an exposure suit I've found no major difference in comfort between the 2 and 1 inch straps. I definitely feel a major difference in stability as the BC or bp/w doesn't ride up on me any longer. I will never dive without one again. I haven't been in water that was warm enough for me to...
interesting...I thought the same thing...but found it saved mine as well when I changed the battery...wish i had an answer for you, but am curious to hear anyone who does
unfortunately it's not the right time money-wise...a year ago I probably would have seriously considered it though...wondering if you have any other vintage gear...I've been wanting to get a double hose rig...
I have a Zeagle Express Tech Deluxe (the one that also includes the removable shoulder pads, removable back pad, chest strap, and the shoulder strap plastic clips for easy doffing). The harness can easily be swapped out for a pure webbing style if desired for only a few dollars. I also have...
