I have a compressed neoprene drysuit (the O'Three ri2/100) and I've been in 40F water and its been fine. I was wearing the Fourth Element Arctic (which isn't even a big puffy undersuit). The compressed neoprene won't give you the thermal loss at depth either.
He's suggesting that you could use the 45 for doubles ... whereas 32 isn't really a usable size for doubles (and I cant think of any companies that make 32 doubles wings off the top of my head)
I'm thinking you may have been confused by the items title on their website...it says "Single Bladder wing"...this doesn't mean it's for singles, this wing is in fact for doubles and has only a single bladder inside of it and not a double bladder for redundancy (which would mean 2 low pressure...
rhlee: that makes the most sense of all to me honestly for a reason to keep a movable d-ring and not go to a rigid...though I'm not looking at multiple bottles anytime in the near future I am definitely a proponent of getting used to the best setup now and simply developing those skills over time.
I guess the unclipping isn't really the difficult thing. It seems to be the clipping, but perhaps its just not enough experience with it yet.
It's interesting to me that you edited your comment on getting stuck in a tight passage as that seems like a reasonable argument to me. Though it...
I am not currently a strict DIR diver but am interested in it and am learning about it. I dive with a nearly DIR rig right now (BP/W, long hose, single webbing harness etc.). I dive a single tank but sling a 40cf pony on my left side. As I've been getting used to clipping and unclipping the...
I lost my DC1200 at the Washing Machine (Gordon Rocks) in Galapagos in July on the last dive of the trip along with all my photos on the memory card.
Wish I had the photos.... :\
The rear weight pockets dont really fit for the front they are designed to be rear cam weights...the zip touch pockets that they designed for the front do fit on both...it doesnt seem very possible to me to change it into an ET
I have no problem with my Dive Rite Basic harness. When the webbing is adjusted properly it shouldn't be super snug, but because of its design it will fit just right and be very stable in the water. They make a harness with the cinch clips that you are talking about, but I would recommend just...
its just that the webbing joins with a D ring so it can pivot as per the stock photos of it...

I am not a lady, so I can't comment on that aspect of things...however, it sounds to me like some of that excess shoulder strap may be from the BC riding up when diving. Is there excess strap when you standing upright on land? If it is only when you are horizontal in the water then perhaps a...
I have one that I purchased new in November 2008 (I don't know whether that means its a new model or old though). I had it serviced in 2009 and was considering whether to service it right now or sell it since I don't use it any longer as I picked up a matched set of regs for double tanks. It...
i have one...with literally only one dive in a Florida spring. Message me with how much you were looking to pay for it. I could be interested in selling I've switched over to a steel bp/w setup.
Sorry never mind it just sold.
I felt similarly to you when I first tried a tri-lam on in the pool. When I did my open water dives I did it in a crushed neoprene. I loved diving in the crushed neoprene suit. I felt like I was diving in a wetsuit and not a plastic bag. Now that I've become more comfortable in my drysuit...
I dive in these same locations in an O'three ri2/100 crushed neoprene drysuit with an Arctic underneath and am perfectly fine. I do get cold easy though and I find this level of thermal protection to be the bare minimum for me to stay warm.
