Information about the Luxfer recall / exchange 6351 alloy

If it is taller than an aluminum 80 and a bit smaller diameter than an 80, then I believe it is what was called an aluminum 72. 2475psi was the working pressure with no overfilling. Just an educated guess. Also I believe 3AL was not required on aluminum tanks until the early to mid 80s. Not sure...

    Xmas LDS Gift Cert

The post I made about the food poisoning was a poke at ScubaDon's morality of trying to cheat the LDS. Personally I feel that resturants are overpriced and I don't eat out very often. (Also what about tipping -- that's another button of mine.) That is my choice, but I don't try to bash them on...

    Xmas LDS Gift Cert

After you get the cash for returning the wetsuit go to the resturant that ScubaDon is a chef at, eat dinner and then come back later and say you got food poisoning and get your money back for the dinner he cooked. :mean:

    Recall of Oceanic regs

For those that have the affected regulators, where will they be returned? The LDS or the online vendor?

    Padi Vs. Naui

Actually SSI requires the child to be at least 10 years old for Junior Diver certification. So they DO exceed the RSTC minimum standards. Scuba Rangers are from 8 to 12. Scuba Rangers is a "pool only" program.

Why aren't compatible 1st and 2nd stages sold

Don't know about the brands mentioned but Sherwood puts the same serial numbers on their 1st and 2nd stages. Maybe that's why they sell in sets. Just a thought.

    !st Stage Leak

I'm not familiar with the Oceanic regs but from what you described I am guessing air is leaking past the diaphram (if it's a diaphram 1st stage) or past the o-ring (if it's a piston 1st stage) into the spring chamber and out of the reg. I would guess labor shouldn't be more than $30-40 and parts...

    Promoting Diving

NAUI and SSI have had a couple of joint projects in the past. PADI will not work with any of the other agencies. PADI was invited to participate in the Universal Referral Program and they declined.

Fills - time for the overpriced LDSs to expire!

Genesis, While you're at it why don't you crack open the auto industry, the electronics industry, the small appliance industry, heck just go after all the consumer products industries. I'm sure they're all making more money than they should. Get the prices down on autos - I need a new one. Also...
