Regulators - ease of service (?)

Thanks gibby. Flathead 7 same as the FH6 or does it use the standard spanner?

Anyone order a DIN reg online from leisure pro before?

LP generally only stocks yoke fittings since they are more popular... ScubaToys can usually match their prices and carries both yoke and din first stages for almost everything

Any downsides or upsides of OW qual in a quarry?

Hmm if you're in MD you could always do your checkout dives at Ocean City. Pretty fun spot

Anyone interested in diving Friday July 3rd?

Firday is my only chance to dive this weekend (working Sat/Sun) so I wanted to see if anyone was interested in joining me. Thinking either BW or McAbee starting early to avoid motogp traffic. I'm just getting back into diving after an ~8yr break. That weird work travel thing got in the way...

    Moto GP/4th of July weekend

I'm considering heading down early Fri morning (ie getting to the site between 6-7am) but have yet to find a buddy (posting a thread in a few min). I usually go to MotoGP but skipping it this year. Traffic is pretty bad in/around Laguna but it doesn't tend to get bad in/around Monterey...

Just returned from Roatan- Taca air

Welcome back! Glad to hear you had a good trip. I can't wait to head down in Aug. Now I'm feeling even better I didn't book with TACA. Continental direct from IAD.

    Oceanlog 2.2.5

Not sure why you'd need to iztok. All the calculations should be the same. If you show your log to another diver they'll certainly recognize 21% as "air"

Is anyone a jeweler or gemologist on the board?

AGS "ideal" is usually a bit better light performer than GIA "ideal" and AGS tends to be a little more critical on flaws. Good stuff on pricescope. It's the scubaboard of the diamond-world

Is anyone a jeweler or gemologist on the board?

I didn't miss it, it just doesn't have enough information. It gives depth and table percentages. It doesn't have girdle thickness, crown/pavilion angles, etc... To be honest, i wouldn't touch a diamond from blue nile. If you insist on purchasing online check out Whiteflash or GOG. Both have good...

Is anyone a jeweler or gemologist on the board?

Really hard to tell without more information. Do you have access to a Gemex/BrilliantScope report? ASET image? Do you have the cut angles? None of those are facing up terribly large for a 2ct stone. Makes me wonder if they're cut too deep or have a thick girdle. I'd recommend spending a lot...

    Hose routing question (and VT3)

thanks. I dive with a standard watch as a timing device. I guess I didn't think the VT3 would naturally replace that so you make a good point. I think I'll try it on my right side this weekend and see how it goes. If I don't use it or it seems awkward I may just leave it in my dive bag and only...

weight and trim (no that's what she said jokes)

I would say your trim ratio is a little off. You might be a little heavy but I doubt it. For 14# I would do 2 5# up front and 2 2# in the rear. As bubble mentioned, do a proper weight check first then worry about trim
