I'm headed to Kauai on Wed and was wondering if the seas were being cooperative and the local dive ops were still doing Niihau trips? I have a reservation with Seasport for 10/1 but haven't heard anything from them.

I see a lot of mention of Seasport but know a lot of other folks offer trips to Niihau as well. We're used to diving cold/deep Monterey waters and although I don't expect to see a lot of newbies on a Niihau trip, would prefer an op that caters more toward experienced divers as we'll likely use...

I learned my instructor liked scotch from talking to him after class. So, my tip was an 18yo bottle. I think it helps to make it personal. While no one will turn down cash, if you know your instructor well you might try for something more "gift-like".

Absolutely love it. Use it in mid-40s (down to 5deg C so far) and it's been great! I haven't gotten cold yet and always come up dry save for a few inches around each seal (neck, wrists, ankles).

Sorry for the delay. So far I haven't had any problems with the fingerhole wearing gloves. I use 5mm semidry gloves and there is adequate room. I'm a size 11 ring so not huge fingers but not small either.

Sad to see this going down such as it is. Agreed that is Leviathan is a new company they should have taken nothing from the former salvo business. Non-tangible IP is a grey area but taking any goods was just asking to get hassled by the courts.
