    A Concerned Diver.

hmm sounds like you should have asked what the air2 procedure is :) with an air2 the diver donates his primary from his mouth and then he breathes of the air2. the victim doesn't breath off of his air2 :)

assuming this isn't all tongue and cheek. you sound like you are jealous that you don't have a computer, or an air 2 ;) You say that diving a computer is unsafe, because they just follow along. But don't you just follow along on the tables? Do you understand how the tables are created? Do you...

    I.E. Help?

well the only video in the thread he linked to is a Youtube video. That plays usually in flash, so k-lite isn't going to help him in this case. I would hit up flash.com and download the latest version anyway.

    Diving tables

I put "I used tables until I got a computer, but no longer use them." but the reality is I still use them, just not on the boat. I A) like to keep my practice up, and B) find it easier to use at a glance to just get an idea of what a particular dive profile would look like. Usually more for fun...

Oxycheq Ultra lite + travel wing questions.

Thanks for all the great information everyone. The reason why I am looking at the ultra lite over a kydex, or travel plate is the price. $50 is nearly half of all the other plates I have seen and brings the package into my I can justify range, otherwise my ranger is in great shape and is great...

Oxycheq Ultra lite + travel wing questions.

Hi Guys, I currently dive a Zeagle Ranger, and have been finding it really cumbersome to travel with, and have been debating a Bp/W setup for a while. The Ultra Lite seems like a really well priced plate that may be great for my needs, but I haven't been able to find a lot of real world...

    Where to mount knife?

I go with the left side of my bc shoulder strap. It sits under my inflation hose. handle facing towards my feet. The reasoning. Its close to where my hands are normally, and if I need it I don't want to unsheathe it towards my hoses or my face.

    beginners equipment help

I can give that a try. A purge valve is a silicone flap on the bottom of most snorkels and some masks. In normal operation of your snorkel, part of it will be out of the water and the purge valve will be below your mouth. Any splashes of water will pool in the valve area and a normal exhale...
