    Creepy things found diving

as Dale said, it's used to stun fish for the illegal aquarium trade (easier for the illegal fisher to collect).

Tubbataha, Anilao & Donsol trip report, April 2009

Thanks for that. I love the wide angle shots. Sorry to hear about Donsol. Try Sogod Bay next time for the whalesharks, it's a bit more low key with better viz. The trade off is that you might not be guaranteed whaleshark sightings but the pristine diving makes up for it.

    Diving in Subic

yep, a day trip to subic or anilao is doable. Take a look at Divenet or kiko's fleet for anilao. For subic, I know diver's network runs trips up to subic from manila. Alternatively you can take the bus to subic and ask if the dive shop can pick you up from the terminal. If you take buses...

First time to Cebu need help

Bohol is doable since you can ferry it from Mactan (assuming you fly in to Cebu). Diving in Mactan is good - check out Gilutugan one day and Nalasuan the next. That's 2/3 of your days. But what Jigo said - it would help if you give us a list of your preferences regarding accommodations, types...

Diver killed by propeller in Cebu

Er, that fool is agreeing with your idiotic post. The only one with a chip on their shoulder is you with your many statements with diving in the south vs. north, rich vs poor divers, etc. and the diving in the Philippines in general. Please, let's start with banning you. Um no. Your previous...

Where to dive? - late Aug. rainy season

15 days is a lot of time. Dauin/Apo Island and Anilao are two places that come to mind. However, both places are sleepy compared puerto galera. Boracay has a great night life scene, but I am unsure how you'll find the diving after having dived PG and Bohol. If you're seriously worried...

    Sarangani Shark Slaughter

Just call me Chip. Sorry, I didn’t mean to sound like I was against handline fishing. Just to be clear, I do agree with you about it and targeting purse seine methods. The point I am making is these shark fishermen should be offered a variety of alternatives and sustainability programs...
