Hard to believe but Koloa really is the only shore spot I suggest on the south or east shore now that Ahukini (by the airport) is no longer diver friendly. Most other areas have to challenging of entry or just remain shallow for just to far out. Sheraton Caverns looks close when on shore but...
As winter and the whales approach I always like to send out a little diving hint for those that are looking to visit the island of Kauai. Each island is very unique here in the chain and with a little research you can be sure to have amazing dives on any island you choose. While the island of...
Sorry for not having clearer details for those sending me PM's. This is actually the Legend LUX and not the cheaper LX. It's the ACD / yoke variety as well. I'll sell to best offer but I am asking $650 which is considerably cheaper than anything I can find online.

If anyone happens to be interested in buying a new Aqualung regulator please send me a PM. I willing to sell it for less than it can be found anywhere on the internet - so if you are in the market for one of these regulators already and wish to save a couple hundred dollars on the investment...
Just another friendly reminder to those who may be lucky enough to be diving out here this summer.....
Niihau season has started and has been as amazing as ever! The monk seals are in mid season form and have returned in numbers a little earlier than in some of the previous seasons...
Thanks gang for the kind words. It's been such a pleasure diving with so many wonderful people over the last 15 years here in Hawaii. Please feel free to continue reaching out with anything that I may help you with when visiting the islands. Until then - best of ocean wishes and get...
You'll find that all three primary boat companies here on island are fantastic. While I personally work for Fathom Five - I can assure you that Bubbles Below and SeaSports both run professional operations and care a great deal about their divers. If you have specific questions just send me a...
Blue Dolphin has a great staff and good reputation here on the island. I'm quite sure you would have a great time. One other possible consideration is to do a semi-private dive at Koloa Landing. It is a fantastic shore dive for new and experienced divers alike - and has incredible critters...
The diving has been great here this month and the Humpbacks are home in great numbers as an added bonus. The island has fantastic operators and a lot of quality professional divemasters. There are numerous operators who do strictly shore diving and a handful that do both shore and boat. In...
Another big thumbs up for Pauline and the crew at Mike Severns Diving! As an instructor here for the last 15 years and someone who has been diving with her a number of times I can say that she is wonderful and full of amazing amazing amazing knowledge. A true ocean spirit who has great passion...
Shaka buddy!
Sorry I missed you on my short trip over but I will see you in March for sure if you are around!
For those of you inquiring on Maui shore diving - You'd do yourself a favor by tracking Shaka Doug down for some awesome diving!
The reviews speak for themselves.
As for the question...
Blue Dolphin Charters run out of the harbor at Port Allen in Eleele. They run a very similar trip to the others as far as the catamaran trips go. They are a great operation for going to the Napali coast for snorkel trips when the ocean allows and summer trips to Niihau. The trip they offer in...
My apologies Gabe. Careless mistake on my part. I corrected the post as you can see. I'll chalk this one up to an overload of nitrogen?
Have a great day
Agreed here....
Gabe seems to be first class as an operator/owner at Kaimana Divers. The staff, most of which I have met are very professional and fun to dive with. You'll see great reviews about them as you spend time researching. I have no hesitation based on personal experience sending...
Alright Gabe...
We let you borrow one of our Humpbacks for the day - NOW SEND HIM BACK TO KAUAI !!
Hope you are having a great day my friend. Yes! Winter is going to be awesome with our whales back home!

Just returning from a fantastic vacation on Maui (all the way from Kauai!) and wanted to share some thoughts to those who may be visiting the islands in the future...
Over 15 years of diving here and I am as in love with shore diving here as ever. I have been diving professionally on Kauai...
Koloa Landing isn't the only site...but it's by far the best. You can do several dives there and not see all it has to offer. You can send me a PM at any point for detailed information regarding anything diving or non-diving. The whales have had there first few sightings already in Hawaii...
Aloha gang,
Thanks for the kind words regarding your experience at Koloa with me "Byte me" - it is such an awesome spot to dive. Though I am currently helping out at Fathom Five - I feel that both SeaSport Divers and Fathom have some very professional and knowledgeable staff/DM's...
Aloha and thanks for your post regarding diving on Kauai. I think you'll find over the next few days you'll get great help here from many divers. I personally couldn't be more biased as I have been diving 12 of my 15 years professionally on the island of Kauai. Simply said - "I LOVE IT!" So...
