I still use essentially my original DECO harness with my X-Deep wing. The hardware is inexpensive and durable. You will want to invest in some metal buffing bits for your Dremel as the edges aren't too clean from the factory. They will cut your webbing if you don't clean them up.

I'm not sure how you would wrap the bungee. On the reg? Valves handles inside? You could rig it edd style or ring style.

The opv in my unit is almost too stiff for me to fire doing a positive check. If the opv is firing the loop is unbreathable. It was 50 to 75 hours on the loop before I stopped having the "nose leakage" issue.

Not sure. I cleaned the valve, but I think maybe the seat was some incomparable material. It was literally some old valve I had on the shelf for years before slapping it on an AL19 I was planning to use for surface O2.

I have had a valve seat toast while boosting O2. Ended up with a valve that woulda close and some rank smelling O2 leaking out.

I've been using some third party Apeks kits for over a decade and have had no issues. First thing to go is always the turret o-ring (just small bubbles). Most of my DS4s are currently 5+ years without service.

Two dives a Ginnie so far. One blown p-valve and one blown wing dump. Only gets better from here.

They probably took it off because it was wet. I can't stand wet socks.

My understanding is it used to be an issue when divers would switch from TRIMIX to deep air(think 200' stop) for deco. If you stick to standard gasses at standard depths it shouldn't be an issue. This means using a 21/35 on the way up, not switching from 10/70 to 36 at 100' after spending 30...

I don't have it with me for a pic, but you can buy BC dump valves from Oxycheck?/OMS?. You just have to cut a hole and Aquaseal the gasket in place. Cut carefully. I put one in my counterlung a few weeks ago.

Switch the Razor dump to the right side. I put a butt dump in my Razor and haven't used the side dump since.

Despite having written a GERG calculator I agree with @Capt Jim Wyatt and @oya, conservative generalizations are easier and close enough until your doing really big dives. For example, if you need double 120s of 10/70 for bailout, a two person team has 80cft less gas than ideal calculations...

I wrote my own app for blending, mods(end,density,02), capacity, check lists, cell checks, and analysis of historical call measurements. One of these days I'll get it fully debugged and publish it, but at the moment I'm too deep in projects I actually get paid for.
