Well, the species in question on this thread, the squid, as stated numerous times, is clearly NOT endangered. Even though we haven't seen them swimming around in schools of hundreds, or catch them on more than rare occasions, there is not a sperm whale in the ocean over a few years old that...

Depends on the make of the reg. Some first stages "bleed" a little bit in the normal function of the reg. If it is a yoke reg, could be a little leak from the O-ring. Should probably get out and replace O-ring, but know plenty of people who just dive it and re-examine it when kitting up for...

Species isn't excacly new....or newly discovered. Colossals are actually considerably better known to us than Archeteuthus. They have been washing up on beaches and turning up in fishing nets for a long time now. It is just this last one that happened to have gotten hauled up alive... ;)
