They are easier to clear and equalize, more streamlined, less buoyant, and provide a better field of vision. As far as single lens masks are concerned, some of the lowest volume masks around are single lens...

    Choice nuggets from the LDS

cutting pliers or shears for wire/steel line cutting

The sheath that comes with a AA maglite flashlight is perfect for standard 5" EMT shears. I had one for years and never used it for the flashlight. Now I'm happy I didn't throw it away. -Klaus

Halcyon BC and weight belt question

There seem to be mixed opinions on this matter. Personally, I much prefer wearing it over (but I'm no veteran). Here is a recent thread on the topic: http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=26970 Does anyone know if there is an "official" DIR answer? -Klaus

    diving vs posting

I knew that many would dislike this poll, and the discussion is part of the point. I merely want to get an impression of whether heavy posters are also heavy divers. Number of posts is a measure of involvement in scubaboard. Number of dives is a measure of invovement in scubadiving. Granted...
