Here's my trip report from earlier this year, which might help with where to stay, who to use as a dive operator and where to eat: http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=86797
Have a great trip.

I just bought an E-7 100 from John of Enfield Scuba in Enfield, Connecticut. The phone number there is (860) 745-7282. I cannot remember exactly what I paid because my receipt included a couple other items, but it was in the $325-350 range.
Good luck.

From looking at the water in Congamond, I figured it'd be a zero vis mud dive, but I also figured I'd ask anyway and maybe hear something unexpected. Thanks.
I dove with Clive of Dive Aruba.
He was great. He only takes out small groups and your dives are only limited by your air or ndl limits.
His website is www.divearuba.com and if you look on ScubaBoard, you'll see that there are many posts recommending him.
Have fun.

My father bought a new boat which he is keeping there....
I went up and checked it out yesterday. I saw tons of boats and murky water.
Definitely not as nice as your lake.

KW15, make the trip to Cozumel that you have been considering, and you and your family will love it.
Remember that you could surf the Cozumel Forum here on ScubaBoard and you will see hundreds of posts about diving in Cozumel. You'll notice that it will be awefully difficult to find many...
Shellbird, thank you for hosting. It was quite nice of you and very much appreciated.
It was great meeting you and dbg40, finally. I enjoyed the company and look forward to getting together again soon.
The dive was fun. The water was warm. The vis was between poor and non-existent. I...
I was in your shop in Newport this past weekend. It looks like a great shop and the owners were quite nice and helpful. I don't think I ever realized how many dive options you have in Newport, including Ft. Adams, until I was there this past weekend.

Air fills are good. ;) You'll find lots of shops in the area, and it's nice to have so many to choose from. Hopefully, one of the shops will have some good DM options for you, too.

I hope everyone has fun diving at the quarry this weekend. I wish I could make it.
Frank and Ed, good luck with the event. Hopefully, I'll be able to explore it some other time in the near future and help with some of the clean-up efforts.

Since you already mentioned that you think SS is the best dive shop in the area, I'm not so sure there's additional need on your part to promote them.
I'm not so sure we want this thread to turn into a 'which shop is the best shop' thread, particularly since you live, dive and teach outside...
There are quite a few good dive shops in the area. I'm mostly aware of these 3, but I know there are a number of others, as well.
New England Ski & Scuba in Vernon is literally a 3 minute drive down the road from your prospective employer. Dave and Ollie are nice guys. They have a huge...
