    Need AERIS Computer Interface software.

If you don't end up locating the software, you could always use Subsurface Dive Log. The Epic is listed as supported: Supported Dive Computers | Subsurface

    Amphos Violation

I had a Sherwood Vision that stopped registering pressure correctly. I contacted Sherwood via email and they told me that they don't handle warranties directly, that I needed to return it to the point-of-sale, which for me, was Leisure Pro. Leisure Pro was great. They took the Vision back and...

    I tested positive for covid

Yeah, hyped to 2.1+ million deaths worldwide, 420,000+ in the US... not to mention long-term affects to those who have recovered.

    Amphos Violation

I bought a "new" one, likely old stock/display unit and about after a year, the low battery indicator did flash. I've yet to dive with it and it is always on. I'm just guessing you might have missed the tiny icon? The warning it gave you would be something I'd guess it would do to prevent diving...

    I tested positive for covid

Ending the restrictions is the end goal and will happen when we reach herd immunity, just like with other virus infections that we have vaccines for. If we were certain that vaccinated individuals can't spread the virus, maybe it can happen sooner, but we just don't know at this point.

    Deep6 3mm or 7mm in 77f water?

At 77F, I would just dive in a rash guard, even with 4 dives a day over multiple days. For me, the cold factor comes into play on the surface. If it's colder on the surface or windy, then I'll get cold then, not when under the water. I guess the other worry is whether thermoclines are common and...

Are you an EXPERIENCED recreational diver?

Um no... I dove with three others, a married couple and an assigned dive buddy. The wife's camera housing flooded, so instead of continuing to dive with her husband, she wanted to buddy with me. She was into selfies. He was into taking photos of critters. On that dive, she kept swimming into my...

    Camera Attachment?

This is what I use. One end clipped to a chest D-ring, the other clipped to a ziptie loop on a housing or tray. The plastic clip allows the coil to be extended or retracted.

Jan 2021, help me come up with a Maui itinerary?

I've dove with Lahaina Divers and they're a good dive op. I would caution you about the Hammerhead Dive. To get there, you'll be crossing quite a bit of open ocean and the swells are pretty big, 7-10 feet. (1/4 of the divers got sea sick on the way out and skipped diving, so sea sick pills are...

    Checkout Dive Etiquette/Protocol

If I haven't gone diving for over a year, I'll do a refresher, but then I dive with large blocks, so one dive for refreshing isn't a big deal. I do this because I've dove with people short on time and haven't gone diving in a long time and I see what potentially dangerous stuff they've done...

Are you an EXPERIENCED recreational diver?

Here's a question... let's say your second stage freeflows... I know you can sip on it to get air. Has anyone ever sipped on it to the surface?

    Rinsing the gear

Being able to rinse your own equipment separately is kinda hard on many boat dives I've been on. Usually, there are just two big buckets, one for regs/masks and another for wetsuits/fins. If you're lucky, there's a small bucket for cameras. On the one liveaboard I went on, gear wasn't cleaned...

    Question on Cressi Leonardo

Having the seconds display is more of a confirmation that it's still counting down. If you drop below the safety top level, it will stop the countdown. It'll resume when you're within the threshold again, but it's hard to know. Also, it feels like it's taking "forever" without the seconds.

Have you tested positive for COVID?

This is encouraging, as the flu shot is just a slight prick and nothing more to me. I've had way worse reactions from donating blood, but that's a larger needle in the arm for 10 min.

Have you tested positive for COVID?

I found out today that a cousin got Covid. A month ago, he was waiting on a test result because a coworker tested positive. His exposure was being in the office with his coworker for about an hour, with masks and socially distant. He tested negative, but after the 14 day self quarantine, he felt...
