Cressi Leonardo PC interface help needed

One feature, I especially enjoy, is being able to add media, like photos. If the dive computer and camera times are sync'ed, the photos appear in the graph and you can see at what depth they were taken. And should you forget to sync, i.e. change the time zone on the camera (which I've done), you...

    Personal pet peeve

Ever stuck behind a Ferrari in a parking lot with speed bumps? They go soooo slow over the bumps. With the immense wealth gap, if you can afford a Ferrari, you can afford to fix the undercarriage every once and a while or just buy a new one... :p

    Lost my camera on Paradise!

Formatting in-camera preps the memory card for usage, by creating the necessary directories. Formatting again does the same thing and blanks out the list of files, however the image data is still there, and can actually be recovered. Maybe I don't take a lot of pictures, but a 64 GB memory card...

Cressi Giotto/Leonardo Replacement Battery and O-Ring

I didn't throw away the original o-ring. I kept it for reference. Here it is on top of the Danco, which is still unopened.

Cressi Giotto/Leonardo Replacement Battery and O-Ring

I didn't actually measure, only visually compared to the one I extracted from the Giotto. They looked identical, which makes me wonder if the two sizes you listed would look visually different or not. I had already installed the one I bought from eBay by the time I bought the Danco. I haven't...

Is it possible to travel responsibly (during a pandemic)?

Taiwan reduced testing and even though they had a breach from a pilot, reduced the quarantine time for pilots from 14, 10, to 3 days ... It's not like they kept doing what they had done and lost control... Covid-19: What went wrong in Singapore and Taiwan?

    Lost my camera on Paradise!

I had a fitness watch stolen from the mailroom so Chase credit card insurance said, since it was never in my possession, they don't cover it. I guess I fell in a very unique limbo situation, property stolen, but not quite "owned".

    Personal pet peeve

I've experienced this twice where people for the next flight block the gate to the point where people who are legitimately needing to board can't get through.

    Personal pet peeve

What if the landing was in strong crosswind and the plane is coming in at an angle... and everyone can feel and hear the wind buffeting the plane? Then the pilot straightens out the plane at the last second and the landing is smooth? Doesn't that deserve recognition?

Trip Report Travel warning for San Pedro

At issue seems to be the OP's feeling of being unequally treated, given that seemingly only tourists were being fined. Perhaps tourists are easy money, like when police pull over cars with out-of-state licenses? Or there is legitimate concern over foreign imported spread and strict enforcement...

    Air share

We were all on single tank. 200+ bar at the start of the dive. The determination to share air with the guide happened around 100 bar. I was the least experienced of the four of us and no doubt was consuming air at a faster rate, which I think led to the decision to share air, so I could do the...

    Air share

I shared air with the guide in Fakarava, French Polynesia. There was four of us, the guide, myself and a couple who were former DM's. We dropped into the blue of Garuae Pass. We proceeded down to 27m and drifted our way up to 13m to get over a reef lip, then down to 20-22m for about 15 min. Just...

I'd be curious what the hand signal you used was and if she checked your SPG before handing over her octo.

Supporting my local dive shop(s) is frustrating

Spit has worked out better for me too, but safety protocols forbid it now, at least rinsing it in shared freshwater tubs.

    Covid test swabs allegedly reused...

Oh sh*t... "Several employees of a pharmaceutical company have been arrested in Indonesia for allegedly washing and reselling used Covid nasal swab test kits. Up to 9,000 passengers at an airport in Medan may have been tested with the reused swab sticks, say police." Covid: Reused nose swab...

    New (Additional) Tourist Tax

Yup. I'm just pointing out that a boycott wouldn't necessarily change how the voters vote. The tourist industry always puts out ads to say it'll hurt tourism, but it doesn't seem to work.

2nd Covid vaccine several days before PCR tests, false positive risk?

The vaccine causes your body to produce antibodies. A PCR test replicates any remnant of the virus in your nose and throat, but does not detect antibodies. The rapid Covid test looks for antibodies, which could show a false positive from a vaccine, however there is a supplemental test that can...

    New (Additional) Tourist Tax

I usually see something on the ballot to raise taxes on tourists and since it's usually for something the locals want, something the locals don't want their own taxes raised on, and tourists can't vote, guess what happens?
