your ascent might be slow but you will be bouncing around, and that could help set the DCS in, if it was me, I would ride then dive, and then make a second dive:)

I have the Zeagle whistle that came with my Ranger, I dive with it every time I'm in OW, I also dive with a bright orange Lift Bag. (for as much as i dive in OW works fine, least til I get left behind)

As I last recall, I didn't think you needed to be certified to SCUBA. Just LDS prefer to deal only with certified people for lawsuit purposes. Please correct me if I'm wrong
