    stage diving

I was talking to a buddy of mine, and we got onto the subject about turning the air off of your stage bottle when you drop it. I said to keep it on, but his rebuttle was what if there was a small leak that went unnoticed, and when you arrived back at your stage it was empty. It got me...

Yea i practice them when I do tech diving with the s-drill. but even in ow we all use 7ft hoses just incase one of starts to get low on air we hand off the 7ft so we can keep on diving. (usually one of us has doubles on, thats who we go to). there was one time that i was low (1000psi) went to my...

    Considering entering the scuba world!

Ok Scuba Diving, pros= very fun, cons= not enough time in the water Risk = risk and danger is associated with every activity you do, if you follow procedures that are taught to you, you will be fine. There is an old saying "there are old divers and bold divers, but no old bold divers." As...

    Basic signs for imperial divers

i usually use a rule of 1000 let me know 700 up we go. so to sign for 1000 is just holding up the number 1. and as for 1500 you show a 1 and then 5. and for 2000 just a 2 etc.

    Head spinning, frustration and confusion(long)

I agree with Rookers, altho the computer is an extremely good investment. There are many good choices with gear, although from your post as far as bcd since your interested in more technical diving down the road you should bite the bullet and invest in some tech gear, instead of buying rec gear...

    Regulator Servicing?

I have a scubapro mk 20 and g250, i get it serviced once a year, unlike scuba tanks, nobody checks to see if your regs have been serviced, but you should keep them serviced for your own personal relaxation when they are being used

    New to Diving

The usual classes are 2 days of classroom and pool, and 2 days of ow 4 dives total. It is long enough to learn the basics, but you need to keep on practicing so you can perfect them. I think that is one of the largest problems, people get certified and then only dive once a year. Good luck to...
