There are cottages and losmen on Nusa Lembongan. Bali Hai themselves have cottages on Nusa Lembongan. This may save you some travel time to the dive site and allow more dives per day. Tulamben is a rocky beach, great place to dive. There are lodging facilities there too. For white sand...

    Diving with Sangalaki Dive Lodge

Before I visit Sangalaki, I bought a whole load of food. Fresh fruit, peanut butter... whatever you like at Berau. Quite cheap. If you do not get enough food imagine the staff? Hence I bring a load of stuff for all. After that I get very very very good service from ALL. By the way...

    Diving with Sangalaki Dive Lodge

I was at Sangalaki, Nabucco and Derawan in June 2005. 3 weeks worth of diving. Sangalaki is still a great dive site, but response from the HQ is frequently very very slow. You may get a faster response by getting in touch with one of their agents that is much closer to the Dive Lodge...

    Bali terrorist threat

You need to understand the poverty level is wide spread, education is also a big problem. The local folk are barely getting by and struggling to survive, they typically do not bother about all this politics and news. They cannot even afford a TV! Those more well to do, will know about what...

    Bali terrorist threat

Local Singapore news reported closing of all American embassies in Indonesia. I guess the other embassies are still there. As for me, I still go where ever I wish and walk freely among the locals. I even take local public transport. In fact I was just in Jakarta last week and I have to be...

    murex-manado/lembeh resort

Was in Lembeh Resort Nov 2004. I thought it was great. Both above water and below. Hotel staff was attentive and the dive guides trained by Bruce was superb. In terms of MUREX, I have never been with them. But I get very mixed feed back regarding that outfit. Some love it, some hate it.

The trip I went on MV Grace was not wreck or tech, it was for photography. MV Grace is equiped for the full tech and wreck, but it does not mean it only does those dives. I have had friends go on MV Grace for recreational stuff too.

Three days on Bali - how to maximize bottom time

Come to think of it, thank God, Allah, Budah... that I do lock my bags on each of my trips there. Somehow immigration and customs do not hassle me that much eventhough I go in and out of Indonesia quite frequently.

Three days on Bali - how to maximize bottom time

I think Wakashorea is closest to Menjangan island. http://wakashorea.com/ Stayed at Mimpi and it took us about 35 min to 45 min to get to Menjangan Island. I have not stayed at Waka, but those who have say Menjangan is 15 to 20 min away. So either it is closer or their boats are...
