Best bet is to call your local dive shop and ask them. I was told when I did a Discovery dive that it would count toward certification as long as I completed it within a year of the dive.

Very nicely said Melvin. I am new to diving - got my OW in July and my AOW in August...a whooping total of 12 lifetime dives and I can't imagine doing a trip like Brendan did. It scares me that other new divers will read this and think it is ok to dive beyond your training.

Same rental equipment for all dives? If so, I'd suspect that first. I'd talk to the shop that rented the gear and get them to test the reg before they rent it out to someone else. Same here - were you with a dive shop? Last weekend was busy - I'm looking forward to the holiday weekend. July 4th weekend was great - not as crowded so the viz was much better.

Have a great time! I wish it was a little closer - I have to be home on Sunday morning so that would make one very long day on Saturday. It would be nice to dive someplace new - all of my cert dives have been at Dutch Springs.
