Rubbish. Dutch is a fantastic quarry - as good as any quarry can be. And its huge - it really ought to be called a lake (you could water ski on it easy) and reasonably deep ~90-120' I think depending on the water table. People do die there - people die everywhere - so locating them in a...

    BP/W pockets

Dang it, that's right. Ack. What to do?. I don't run a can light - 2 DRIS 1k shorties are way better for me. Maybe move the SMB to the back D ring area to free up the leg pocket....

Halo, which one are you using for this? I don't really want to use my Xpants pockets for the extra mask when I do the solo course but I was stumped for another idea. This sounds like a good outta the way solution. Send me a link dude!

While I'd personally agree with you wrt a business, in general people want to feel that they are getting their money's worth when they pay for something. When its perceived that you are paying only for paperwork and the price is exorbitant, then its a money grab. I'm not saying that that is...

Pics of 1st BP/W setup - anything wrong??

I mount mine down because its easier to trace the hose off the valve if the reg slips its mounting. I can't reach it when its right side up. Wrt tool dip, I use two bands cut from an old bike tire inner tube - one on the top one on bottom. As far as the band clamps go, define "more reliable"...

Same as with any small pressure leak - soapy water mix on each connection. Though youre favorite brand of Cuban cigar would work as you suggested but the leak would have to be big enough to hear really to see a change in the cigar. But your wife wouldn't know that ;) The soapy water is a...

Fire no idea. Blow up, yes. I have what's left of one integrated in my compressor setup. Seriously Doc don't make blanket statments about all compressors being ok to do whatever with. That's just flat irresponsible on a public forum like this. Even the Oxyhack book notes its an unknown risk...

Ok, I just don't know. But I guess with the RBs I've seen they are good sized packages hoses etal, then if you have a 40 slung and another something for deco slung, you have pretty good presence in the water. x2 RBs and sure I can see a 7' being better.

How easy to remove/replace pony valves when traveling?

No torque is torque - whether applied to an apple or an orange its the same. But you just made two opposite statements. 50ftlbs you can do by hand, and 50 ft lbs is not what you can do by hand. Either way, noone can even get close with ones hand. Maybe you meant something else, I dunno...

Ok I'll bite. What cu is your bailout? And why a 7' hose? Do you take up a lot of space in the water column? ---------- Post added April 6th, 2014 at 03:46 PM ---------- I was going to do a try-it rebreather, but when I found out its 5k to 20k for a rebreather and all the other gear...

Easy there cowboy. This is only true with compressors and gear that are listed as O2 pumpable-safe per the mfg. Beyond that, youre a test pilot. BTW did you read that his compressor is for a Vietnam era flame thrower ala 1966?
