    Decompression Course

Non-deco course. You wouldn't get any extra time at depth Fundies Rec Pass required, then find a GUE instructor that teaches req 3 in Australia. Not short-term practical. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 40m reef...

If you had to choose, 80% or 100% for deco gas and why.

ICD (ibcd? Sounds like an aqualung model) happens on all dives where you switch from trimix to eanx. Bad ICD is the thing to worry about ;) Sent from my couch using tapatalk

    US vs British Diving Vocabulary

I try to refer to those things as such at every possible opportunity. My regulator is also my 'sucky-blowy thing' and everything else is the 'thingy' as in "pass me my thingy" :D

Tips for webbing your own harness

I'm putting a together a OPH at the moment. Previously I've bought a package one (APEKS). At the moment I'm not really seeing a benefit in cost in buying the pieces separate. Maybe this is because I am buying from dive centres. Where are the best stores to get stainless D-Rings and Glides? I...

British wreck divers fined for retrieving artifacts

Jared they did not save them from 'the sea and time'. Conservation of materials retrieved from salt water is a long and costly process, wood, for example can take years to preserve with PEG. Some of the things these guys lifted is now in a terrible state of condition as they didn't have a clue...

Does this really ever happen? How often has /does a regulator actually fail?

No it won't. The filter is now ruined. Trust me.

British wreck divers fined for retrieving artifacts

Every country likes to think that. We assign the name 'War Grave' to ships without questions, however it, more often than not, tends not to be back up in law, just our own morality. For example the Protection of Military Remains Act (PMRA) in the UK didn't come in until the Mid-80s...

British wreck divers fined for retrieving artifacts

I've asked for old droits when doing Wreck research. The girls basically bin them after they're done with them. EDIT: 2 women are the RoW

You do: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/222562/dg_185584.pdf However as there are only 2 people who work for the RoW and they do not publish droits specifics, it doesn't make a difference

Does this really ever happen? How often has /does a regulator actually fail?

Moisture in the tank caused a powder build-up on the filter leaving me air-less at 14m on a solo dive in Malaysia one time.

British wreck divers fined for retrieving artifacts

There's a few other articles related to this case, one highlights that the divers used explosives to remove the artefacts. The plain fact is this was mindless vandalism, both above and below the water. The pair clearly had little idea of how to preserve the artefacts once lifted (that cannon...
