Again, it doesn't take away from the fact that 5 years ago the same kind of things were being said about computers and their usefulness.
In another 5 years who knows what technology will be around.
And after 3 more paragraphs of the same type of talk as was seen 5 years ago the fact remains that tech divers were against the use of a computer for tech dives.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
Nonsense indeed.
5 years ago all the same comments were made about using a computer by Tech divers.
All about failure points, all about unreliable, all about batteries discharging. Same kind of comments, must have a watch and a bottom timer, no computer needed, not worth it...
Cool. I still like my WAI.
Eventually it will replace the SPG IMO.
5 years ago, almost every Tech diver here determined a computer was useless and not worth the money, among other things. In time, Wireless AI will replace the SPG.
I use a Datamask, I don't even have to move my arm up to see how much gas I have left. The alarms are turned off. I can't hear them anyway. It doesn't do multiple gasses, or if it does it isn't something I know about.
I don't recall ever checking my pressure and being surprised, I have...
I had that happen to me once. One of the guys on the boat had problems with his SPG. I had one in my bag that I loaned him. My AI worked flawlessly. :)
I paid my dues to be red. So far I don't see any difference in my name like it was before. Also all the adds are popping up all the time. That is one of the reasons I paid to be red.
Is there anything that is going to change in this new format to resolve that? I am proud to be a supporter...
I stayed at ElCantil and loved it there. Close to everything and very helpful staff. Easy place for groceries or walking almost anywhere to eat.
We didn't need a car. We just hired a taxi for the afternoon and went to the other side to look around. The cab driver took us where we wanted and...
It's a short walk from El Cantil to Hotel Cozumel. You could rent tanks and dive there (Dive Paradise) if you are determined to do a shore dive. I have done that dive a few times. It is alright and you can see lots of stuff but nothing compared to an extra boat dive or 2.:D
Don't know if it has changed. When I was on the boat there was always a guide offered. The guide would offer a tour and you could go with them or you could go out on your own. It was clearly stated when we went through the welcoming brief that when the boat was tied up the pool was open. The...
You could always look at the Captain's log to get an idea of where and make educated guesses as to how long the Aggressor was in one spot.
I spent 10 days on the Cayman Aggressor in late July early August 2014. There was no shark chumming. The boat moved 2 or 3 times a day as I recall...
Or they dive bomb you.
First night dive I ever did the same person came from above me diving down to make sure they got to see what the DM was pointing to. She did it 3 times.
1. Knocked the reg out of my mouth by catching my hose with her fin
2. Kicked my mask, knocking it sideways
3. A...
I looked into shipping mine to him. To get it there in time to do him some good it was going to cost $150 to ship it one way, then would still have to get it back.
