Why the dislike of air integrated computers?

I have a DataMask. I only dive recreationally, I think of my 200 dives only 2 have been deeper than 100', one to 103 and one to 109. No stages or doubles for me. I like it a lot and don't use a SPG.:D The display is very easy to read and does not require anything but a glance down.

Mac or PC? Corel or what?

Keep in mind that regardless of Mac or PC, the memory and backup is really integral part of photography/videography these days.

Mac or PC? Corel or what?

I wish I had gotten the 500 gig drive on mine when I bought it. I have the 256 gig drive. Storing the files on an external drive works great but consider another back up. I lost all of my GoPro video from my last trip when the external drive crashed. I would consider paying for some cloud...

Mac or PC? Corel or what?

I had used PS essentials on a PC I had, it was always slow and tedious, may have been the horsepower in the computer. I bought a MacBook Air because of the size and it works great for travel. I played with iphoto, then Aperature. I didn't care for either of them. I trialed Light Room and...

    Religion and scuba

Granted it is in the non diving related stuff. I said I don't think it matters, you said it did if it affected you that religion mattered. I asked how it had an effect on you. I understand what the OP was asking. In reference to that I don't know that your comment or mine is on topic.

Yes, Do you? This thread is probably bound for the PUB anyway. It is rather off the path.

    Religion and scuba

I guess in the context of this thread the answer is of importance. I would find it quite odd if the subject of religion was brought up while out diving. My question to you would be, why is it of importance while on a dive boat? How does what the religious beliefs of a person you may meet...

    Religion and scuba

While my experience as a diver is limited, I don't know that religion has ever crept into the realm of discussions. At least not on the dive boats I have been on. For me it makes no difference what others believe. No offense to the OP but I don't think it really matters. It's kind of like...

Is an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm mean an end to diving?

Thanks! I was hoping to use this information as a means to lift his spirits. Since the first post a few more things have been confirmed. He is lucky to still be living. It was an open abdominal repair and ended up being a thoracic as well as an abdominal procedure. He has some...

Is an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm mean an end to diving?

Like the title states, does this mean and end to diving? My BIL had a rupture. Luckily he made it into surgery. We are at the hospital now while they repair the rupture. He and his wife are divers. While we are waiting the conversation went to the question of if diving is over for him. I...

Why the dislike of air integrated computers?

As a console, maybe you are beating it up somehow? IDK. If you want to have an SPG, then maybe you should consider a backup wrist computer? Have you had problems with the wrist computer? Maybe an AI hoseless, you could still have the SPG if you wanted.

Why the dislike of air integrated computers?

No, it's more like this. OP: I am looking for advice on a computer. Post 2: Buy a Petral, there is no other computer Post 3: But it isn't AI, I want AI Poster 4: If you buy anything but a Petral, you are buying a piece of crap and AI is only sold as a point of failure and while you're at...

    Flooded RX100ii

Not sure how Sony would be expected to be responsible for the flood. Recsea maybe, but only if there is a defect in the housing. At any rate, please post to let people know how this turns out and good luck.

Why the dislike of air integrated computers?

Oceanic has serial numbers that are used. It can't be done on an oceanic computer. My apologies for being wrong.

Why the dislike of air integrated computers?

That's not the way it works at all. The Transmitter has a serial number assigned to it. You can't change it. You could have 50 people on the boat all diving the same brand computer/transmitter, it wouldn't matter, what you propose can't happen.
