    Tulum & Xcalak

But that area you can expect to see a lot of turtles and rays. Whale sharks are hit and miss. I believe it is the wrong time of year now for them.

    Coz. or Belize????

There are a couple ways to do this. I recommend San Pedro / Ambergris Caye because of its close proximity to Mexico. You can drive south to XTC Dive shop who run shuttles via boat to Ambergris Caye, Belize or you can drive to the Mexico / Belize border station and take a 20 minute $35 flight...

    Private Charter in Coz

Hola! There will be at least two or three of us who are divers that will be in the area the first week of May. We do have friends who work over in Coz that could probably hook us up with a good deal but we'd always be willing to hear what you have in mind. Let us know.

    USA3000 Airlines - Warning

This has gone in many different directions so I will start with an easy topic. Why charter? Well, I have flown Continental the past 15 or 20 times and I watch the airfare on the websites at least once a week. However, Continental was still in the $674 p/p range. They have become very greedy...

    usd or pesos

I am not sure what that hotel's policy is but some hotels like rental car agencies put a temporary hold on some amount but do not actually charge it even if you pay by cash if that makes any sense. This covers them for any damages and the money is released once everything is square. In other...

    Maya Ha Resort

We were planning on diving Chinchorro and staying at Maya Ha. After doing more investigation we saw some online reviews that were not too favorable of the resort. Although I did find them a bit procey I was willing to pay it IF we dove where WE wanted to. We also spoke to a Maya Ha...

    Not enough time!

We are frequent visitors to Mexico. Even though we go 2-3 times ever year, we never get to do everything we want to. We flew into Cancun and used it as our base since we have a lot of friends there. We dove off Isla Mujeres and also Cancun, drove south and did a few cenote dives at Dos Ojos...

    Dive Shops in Cozumel

We just reurned from a 8 day Mexico trip. While in Cozumel we dove with Chakanaab Sports (sister company of Sand Dollar) located right inside the Park. Jorge was our guide (he's also an instructor). He was great. The dives were easy with a little drift but still very beautiful. We did lots...

    Akumal Water Temp in Winter

Just came back yesterday. Dove Cancun, Isla Mujeres, Dos Ojos, Cozumel, Akumal, and several other coastal areas. I used a 3/2 full and it served me well. Besides thermal, the full suit also protected me from sunburn, floating fire coral that got broken off because of the storm we had and the...

    USA3000 Airlines - Warning

Yeah, thanks but I am hostage to their tactics at this point. So the only way to fight back is to hit them where it hurts. . . in the pocketbook. I am not spreading any false rumors - just making as many people as I can aware of how they treat their customers and what their policies are. It...

    USA3000 Airlines - Warning

The only "scheduled" flight from Newark is to Punta Cana. All the other destinations it flies to almost daily out of Newark like Mexico or other tropical destinations are considered charter flights. If you are going to Punta Cana you are allowed 50 pounds each per bag and are allowed 2 bags...

    USA3000 Airlines - Warning

Hi Ya'll. I am headed to Mexico in 7 days. I am flying USA3000. Before I booked my trip several months ago I intentionally checked the airline website and called my travel agent (Liberty Travel) on two separate occasions to verify luggage restrictions. I did so before I booked. I just...

    driving south of Tulum

Tipping not a city in China?

My hotel charges me a small fee for the maid, staff which includes groundskeepers, security, bellboys, pool, energy (water/electric) and wall safe in the room. What it works out to for all of that is about $2-3 per person per day. My maid is awesome. We have had the same lady work our floor...

    Tulum / Akumal Dive Operators

Tulum has nice beaches, you can also try Xel-Ha, Yal-Ku Lagoon, Akumal or even Paamul. An eco park Xcaret has a 40 minute reef dive and is sort of in your area only a few minutes away.
